Went to Amigo's after reading good reviews and all the roadside advertisements for them.We were not disappointed. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff polite and friendly.The waiter brought out a trolley with an an assortment of seafood fir us to select from and we decided to order the platter for two. It included lobster, prawns, crab and fish.The meal was delicious and very filling.If you don't have a car and are within 10kms from restaurant they will pick you up and take you home at no cost.Highly recommend Amigo's.Dear 930waynel5,Thank you for your comment on Amigo. I speak French but still it was like pulling teeth trying to get a recommendation out of the waiter. Settled on the lamb curry and added the samosas as a starter. The food was good, not great. Nonambiance but pleasant sitting on the covered patio watching the rain. Might go back and try the fish which someone else had. I've seen it packed various other days so Sunday may have been a little off for everyone. Prices are inexpensive for sure

Cool place to visit even though the day before we were put off by the unhelpful staff. Arrived to dine in the area with our Mastercard to pay, thankfully this restaurant accepts Cards. We shared a starter (Prawns) my lady had a Gin and Tonic, bottle of water for me. The main course was Lamb cutlets and Tuna for me and only had to pay £42. The portions were large and the service was excellent, the taste was superb all well cooked and just right. We will visit again!

The mark of a really good, can do Restsurant is what happens when the main chef is out sick. In this case the owner steps in and the food is still good. At a packed house on Saturday night my Sea bream curry with eggplant served with saffron rice was the best curry I've had in Mauritius in three weeks. The salad bar was fresh and very, very good. Nice selection and it's free. The pineapple flambé was a nice surprise. I saw lots of other tasty meals going by me towards eager diners. Lots to try the next time which will be soon.

A hundred metres off Grand Baie's main street in Racket Road. Well worth seeking out. Tiny restaurant with eclectic decor, menu and music. Delicious and varied menu and great fresh juices. For many months we often passed this restaurant saying we would visit it one day.Why we waited so long is beyond me! Worth a visit - or ten.Sometimes you just have to order something that you can't get off the shop shelf - like freshly caught fish. We had a mix of fish dishes starting with smoked marlin to share, tuna steak and babonne (rock-cod). Then we finished with a really 'good-feel' coffee.Simple dishes - beautifully cooked - certainly ranks up there with the best.The service and staff were absolutely delightful - you will be humbled by the extraordinary mannerisms - true 'old style' hospitality. I am glad there are still restaurant staff who pay attention to their customers in a gentle, respectful and informative way.I will be back!
