We stopped and had a late lunch outdoors at the White Wolf. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful weather, great service. And the food! The food shows the cross-country heritage of a place that might be equal parts Italy, Germany and Austria. My grigliata mista was quite good, but the absolute hit of the meal was the polenta con formaggio & fughi. Grilled perfectly, with the tiniest bit of crust, there was just the right mix of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth lusciousness in every single bite. In our family, we tend to share a few bites of everyone's meal, but today it was practically a showdown as to who would get the most of this wonderful delight! Oh, and did I mention the scenery? Wow. We loved our stop at the Wellness Hotel!

I would love to give this place five stars. Staff is friendly, the location is fantastic and for many I'm sure this little place pops up right when you need it.We visited twice during our week in Canazei, both days on a return trip from Canazei to the top of Marmolada. On the first visit I wanted the lasagna, but there was only a little left in the pan so I figured I would get a mishmash of what was left. Instead I ordered a burger, the big one with the egg. Not fantastic, but pretty good. If they upgraded the quality of the patty it would do a lot for this burger.I ordered fries as well, but when I got to them I was full already. On the second visit I got my lasagna. Well, then maybe not. Calling what I got Lasagna is an insult to lasagna. A lot of not-meat. My friend got the same, none of us finished the dish simply because it was so horrible. Clearly an example of maximizing the profit by lowering the standard.Well, if they think they can afford it...In these mountain restaurants, you always expect to overpay. They got very little competition and they take advantage of that. This place is not unique in that way, but when the food is not up to standard, it stings a little more.

We had an excellent lunch in this beautiful and friendly Rifugio. It is a lovely place that even have Lamas in their yard, just awesome for kids and everyone.Very good, friendly and helpful service and food was a delight. Many people order grilled meat, table next to us, that had about 10 people ordered a huge and very impressive and generous meat platter to share between them. If you are part of meat lover gang - go for it - it looks amazing!Highly recommended stop for lunch, even make small detour to get there, you will have really good time (and food!).
