Sans Restaurant is billed as "Oriental", the telephone number is 01564 792104 and it appears to be well established. I visited this week and it was very busy and I feel that it needs a listing and a review.

Glad to have discovered this Chinese restaurant. Not a high quality establishment , but it fills a gap in the market for an actual Chinese restaurant and not the all too common Indian or Mediteranean style. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was freshly cooked and of good quality, although the menu is more like a take-away type.

Visited quite a few times now. Always had a lovely meal. Really great food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good value . Would recommend and will definitely return.

Simply ignore the negatives (though there are not many - speaks volumes). There are some people who can never, ever be pleased and actually enjoy rubbishing places because crap reviews get more "helpful" votes - that's a fact - sad but true. And,Tripadvisor prefer nasty reviews and don't even care if they are true or not because they get read more (by gloating nasty people). This place is totally unique because there is no menu (fussy, picky eaters don't bother), the wonderful host feeds you. And he does so with passion, and knowledge, and a bit of humour. He feeds you on excellent produce, cheffed beautifully, in an extremely relaxed atmosphere and it truly makes for a memorable and very enjoyable evening. It is NOT expensive. For 5 courses each plus amazing bread and a bottle of wine we paid £95, which I think is extremely acceptable for an evening of quality food that isn't out of a bag and pinged with a microwave. It is not "pile it high, shovel it in" pub grub so don't expect to pay the type of prices that wouldn't even pay the electricity bill in most places other than if it is constantly churning out crap food out at vast speed like... Wethers! I just wished it were closer to home!
