This café in what amounts to "downtown" Dana Bay, a conservancy of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape, South Africa, is great for breakfast and lunch, even early dinner. The food is good down-home, mostly Afrikaans fare, though there are the usual hamburgers and hot dogs. I recommend getting the daily special, it was always good when we ate there. For breakfast? Vetkook (spelling?) of course! Food is inexpensive and you get a good portion. A great bargain.

This cafè has great burgers and Prego rolls. Overlooking Mossel Bay and onto Seal Island, you can sit for hours and enjoy the view. In October, I saw whales from this spot! Bring your binoculars! Food is good, service is great and prices are very reasonable. This was a great find!

We happened to come to the mall for a quick man's haircut and stopped in to grab a quick bit. Ordered hamburgers, salad, fries and onion rings plus two beers. Everything was ok but far from exciting. Great fish, chips and calamary, but a ling wait when busy. Pre-ordered by phone. Did not make a difference. Waited more than 50 minutes. Can they please tell you how long your order will take beforehand. Wasted our last night of family time.

We were in the mood for something new and tried this restaurant at the Spar centre. This is a lovely small restaurant with a seperate bar (pub) on one side of the building. There was a special on their Spare Ribs & wings for that evening. I however ordered chicken Schnitzels. The food was very well prepared, the portions huge. The personel were friendly and very helpfull. We loved the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
