Excellent service by the person in charge. Got just one portion first course and one portion second course to share with my partner and was served 2 portions of the first course. Upon checking, realised that they have plated it evenly into 2 half portions knowing that we are sharing it rather than serving just one big plate of it. Was pleasantly surprised that the service went to this 5 star standard. Thumbs up!!! Oh yes of course the food was impeccable as well. Would definitely come back to this restaurant the next time.

Food was great, it was maybe even amazing! Service was a let down to the chefs in the kitchen, the patrons inside, and the owner. They served our steak and burgers without the side orders or even the wine (had to repeatedly ask for a glass of wine), who wants to eat potatoes after a steak?? they didnât bother to clean away the plates....they forgot our dessert with the set menu and when I asked him he didnât believe me and had to go and âcheckâ....10 mins later he arrived to say the dessert options at which point we left! Guy at the door asked if everything was good, it wasnât, he put his head down and asked for the pin. Avoid unless you donât mind poor service. Would have given 1 but I felt for the chefs.Sono mortificato e molto dispiaciuto!Quel giorno câè stata della confusione e purtroppo ci avete rimesso voi!Mi scuso personalmente per quanto accaduto, e mi scuso se rispondo solo oggi ma mi era sfuggita la recensione.Non so se recapiterete da queste parti ma nel caso passate di qua vi prego di entrare da Nana in modo che possa almeno offrirvi un drink, nella speranza di avervi ancora al mio tavolo per dimostrarvi che abbiamo risolto buona parte dei problemi sul servizio GrazieGianluca Nana

Found this bar on TA and what a nice little find it turned out to be.We were greeted by a lovely gentleman whom let us choose our own seating.We ordered the Aperol Spritz which came with an awesome tasting aperitivo.Although we only stayed for one drink there were a variety of wines and craft beers available.This bar had a great atmosphere to chill and relax with the localsEasy to find down one of the many lanes in the town.The staff here know the importance of customer relationships.A must if you are in La Spezia

Superb dining experience. We lodged in the same block so we would eat wonderful breakfast's there. Then we discovered that they served dinners also and Vernazza has restaurants that live off their views. This doesn't have a view but has superb menus and moreover focus on preparing good cuisine. My best dining experiences in my 3 weeks in Italy was with the Il Pirate. They should probably change the name to match the quality of the dining experience. Perhaps, Il Excellente!

Yep! Found out the chef/owner does a pesto making class in the mornings / so totally worth it! The views are best in Cinque Terra as you receive instruction and materials in making pesto! And served w meats cheese bread near the end to celebrate your tasty pesto w wine. Chef/owner super personable reports how he got the spot to create this incredible restaurant from a contest! We stayed several days in Monorola and always saw a happy crowd up at his place. So worth it!

We walked up the hill each night we were here to enjoy our gin and tonics and delicious food. The location is set amongst the buildings under the clock tower. Over looking the sea below and vine yards above. Hospitality is fantastic and the ladies who owned the cafe made us feel like locals after the 2nd visit. Sit and watch the tourists stroll by or the locals who meet on the bench every night for a chat. Worth the effort to walk up the hill

Excellent food, very good service and unbeatable price. I was particularly impressed by the "Antipasti della Terra": about 8 delicious appetizers of typical local food. I am glad the waiter warned me that it was quite a lot of food. In fact I ordered only the appetizers and was more than enough, all at just 13 Euro. The pasta my wife and kinds had was also very good. Book in advance and, in Summer, select the terrace, as it might be too warm inside near the fireplace to cook the meat.
