Walking back to the car park we came across âClockworksâ in Wolstenholme Square, originally we popped in for a quick sandwich intending to have a roast dinner much later, but when we saw and smelt their roast we couldnât resist. The dinner is way to big for mum and I so we asked the very friendly staff if it would be ok if we shared, not a problem, neither was mixing a concoction of Fruit to make me a soft drink. Nothing was a problem, they lived up to the saying the customer is always right. They greeted us as soon as we walked through the door as if we were old friends. Chatting with us while taking our orders and made us feel like they were sorry to see us go. The roast beef slices were massive and very tasty, the red wine gravy was delish so were the honey glazed carrots (how do they get them like that!) the roasties were crisp outside and fluffy inside, I let mum have the rest of the veg as I am not a veg person. Yorkshire pud was massive and crispy. All in all we had a lovely roast beef lunch. Saved the sandwich for later. The bar itself was very cosy and relaxed, a mix of families older and younger couples, shoppers and tourists. I would defo recommend, I might give a Friday night a go too as they have live bands playing.

Excellent, fresh, tasty food in a great atmosphere. We dropped in without reservation and were seated immediately by a very friendly waitress. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was bustling even though it was early evening. The red wine we ordered was too cold but there was no fuss when we asked to change it, which was done straight away. The food, mixed kebab and hellim kebab, were both very good and portion sizes were very generous.

We have been to Bacaro before and it didnât disappoint on our return visit. They staff are very friendly and attentive, my wife has a dairy allergy and they were very prompt in producing their allergy menu. The food was delicious, particularly the Tuna Tartare and the goats cheese pearls.

Two things make a restaurant for me, the food and the staff, this place excells in both departments. We had six mixed plates that were all delicious (especially the chorizo). The girls, Eva and Lizzie, looked after us all night, really friendly and helpful. The restaurant looks lovely too, bright but chilled and it's not expensive. We will definitely return. 5 stars easily.

I donât leave reviews often but this place deserves a good one. We booked as it is small and I really wanted to try it out. We all enjoyed the food. Small plates of deliciousness. Particular mention for the ox cheek stew, pork belly, roast cauliflower in satay, curry, padron peppers and sweet potato fries. The apple cheese cake was also amazing. Just go and try it. We were 5 people and had 9 small plates plus 6 sides and we were full. With cocktails and drinks we spent £112 which I think was worth every penny. Visited Silk are Liverpool for the first time last night. It did not disappoint! Service was spot on, waitress Niamh couldnât have done more! The manager on duty was so friendly & welcoming. Every single dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm & cosy & handy short walk to the train station. We could not recommend this place more! 10/10. We will be back. We where a party of five, the restaurant was busy but we where fortunate to get a table. The waitress greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us to our window seat. Menus delivered and drinks order taken, now for choice of food. Starters we chose Greek salad, prawn cocktail, garlic creamy mushrooms and kalamari. Main Courses, Spicey meatballs, Kleftika, and salmon. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Chefs special sauce for the salmon which is served in a separate dish. The service was excellent and Stefano was very attentive,without being intrusive.Great atmosphere, excellent food, great value for money. We'll be back.

Wonderful afternoon tea for my mother in laws birthday. Family ranged from 12-80+ and everybody enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent with a lovely âEvertonâ twist, fantastic generous portions too. Service was really good, and very friendly special thanks to Michael D. We will definitely be back.

Read the reviews on Trip Adviser and decided to give this place a try- we were not disappointed! We both had John Middleton breakfasts and couldnât manage to eat everything! Beautifully cooked and very meaty sausages and the toast was the best ! We plan to come back soon for an evening meal and have already booked a Sunday Lunch to look forward to. Lovely staff and would definitely recommend.
