Ambiente sofisticado e pratos especiais, com o melhor dos ingredientes locais e pratos assinados por Erick Jacquin.
I loved this place! Around the neighborhood of Ponta Negra don't expect to find a lot of places to eat. This restaurant was a life-saver since we couldn't find any good restaurant around there to have dinner then we had to go to the mall. At the end, the place was so amazing we returned some other night. You'll find great local ingredients, like the Tambaqui fish, in more complex and refined recipes. Also the drinks are very nice.

Ole started as a tapas-music bar. Soon one of the nicest places in town to spend a great and tasteful evening. Overtime it changed towards the more âsoft rockâ motor styled bar, but still the nicest place in town to enjoy live music and some good drinks and food. Soft rock and motor style? But also with vegan dishes and healthy alternatives. Modern times ! And some of the best cocktails in town. Check out the music programming. Some great nacional artists once in a while, besides the regular but talented locals.
Where to eat Portuguese food in Manaus: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I visited Nero in December, 2017. The ambience inside was great, and the bar was fantastic. There is a great drink menu to try, and some very unique offerings. The menu itself is varied, with a heavy leaning toward seafood. I ordered a shrimp confit appetizer, which was very nice. Main courses at the table were the octopus, which was served over lemon mashed potatoes. The texture was great, but I would have preferred a more charred/grilled flavor, but that is purely my preference. The flavor was great, and the portion just right. The filet served with gorgonzola gnocchi was out of the world. The cut was absolutely perfect, and cooked even better. I wasnât a fan of the mix of Gorgonzola in the gnocchi, but others loved it. We did order a shared desert, a cup of heavy sweet cream, chocolate sauce and topped with ferrero rocher. It was actually so rich, I think half of it stayed, yet nobody complained. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste superb, but it was just a bit too rich for my preferences. Prices are a touch higher than the norm in Manaus, but overall very, very reasonable, especially considering the quality. Starters are around R$40(12 usd), main courses are around R$75(22usd), desserts around the same as the starters. Drinks were around 20-25 reais, or 6-8 usd. Overall, nothing but great things to say. Iâm a fan, and I will be returning every chance I get. They have it figured out at Nero.

The Mercado Adolpho Lisboa, also called Mercado Municipal lies on the shore of the Rio Negro. The market is big and offers fresh fruits, spices, fish, souvenirs, traditional indigenous medications among other products. Visiting a market gives you a pretty good idea about the culture and local tradition of the people. So we were very impressed about the great variety of indigenous medication. You can also eat some local food. We tried some fish soup and it was delicious. The place itself is very busy and it's nice to see the interaction between sellers and buyers and the movement of merchandise from boats of the Rio Negro to the market. It deserves a visit and is close to downtown on walking distance.

We spent several days in Manaus and this was, by far, the nicest restaurant we visited. It is tucked away from the main streets and the modern drive up entrance makes an impression. We came here by Uber before heading to the airport, so we weren't dressed as nicely as some of the other guests; however, the staff was very friendly and seated us with a waiter who spoke some English. They did not have any menus printed with English descriptions, so we used Google Translate to figure out what some of the dishes were. The menu is varied - my kids had pasta while my husband and I had steak. They have some very nice craft cocktails. I don't remember the name of the one I had, but it involved a cinnamon stick and it was delicious! I highly recommend seeking out this gem of a restaurant.
