Used to come here every month. The staff were friendly, had a laugh with my wee boy and seemed happy to chat as they worked. The food has always been good. The last 3 or 4 visits we noticed the staff had changed. The small manager with glasses, all the white waiters and waitresses, all gone. It's now the big bloke who barley looks the road you're on. My 7 year old asked for chopsticks. He was given a set but when we went to pay the bill they were snatched out of his hands. I asked if he could keep them. Gruffly told no. We've spent hundreds here and the old staff knew us as regulars but the big bloke has no customer skills. What would it have cost for him to let the boy keep them or even add a few pence to the bill. Came again tonight to see if it was maybe just a bad night. I was standing next to the chill and could hear shouting from the kitchen and big bloke kicked the door in and stormed into the kitchen. Horrible atmosphere. Won't be back for a long long time. All because of miserable staff

A friend recommended Dragon Hing to us as we were beginning to become disappointed with our regular Chinese takeaway. We were not disappointed with Dragon Hing, the food is lovely, staff are friendly and happy to recommend dishes if you are unsure what you want to try. We have only ordered three times from here over the last month or so but I think we have found our new regular Chinese takeaway and won't be going anywhere else. Loved the smoked shredded chicken which was recommended to us and the crispy shredded chilli chicken is the best we've had in a long time. Everything tastes so fresh and can't wait to try more dishes. Would highly recommend Dragon Hing.

Wow.. I had the vanilla ice cream with my waffle.. Best ice cream i have ever tasted. Caramel sauce and fruit. For a family it can be expensive. Definately enough to share. Staff very polite. Area very clean and well presented.

The night we visited the restaurant was very quiet though the carry out side was busy . The service was very good and the food arrived promptly. The food was of a very good standard and we both enjoyed our meal .well worth a visit.!

I read all the negative and bad comments about Sapphire.. But cmon chaps what exactly are you expecting from a very small and extremely busy local Chinese restaurant and takeaway?Its not supposed to be Chinese cuisine at the utmost ultimate quality. It us however very low cost and very good quality and value. The food is very very good. Recommend the Chinese curry, all the soups, chow mein and duck dishes.For a localised restaurant you can't fault it.Sure. As with all busy restaurants they don't and can't get it right all the time but they do provide excellent quality food at a reasonable price.We fully recommend Sapphire.John and Linzi Sutherland

My local Chinese very near my home... Never been so on a rainy night we visited the Golden Swallow... Its split in two as they do a busy take away... Dozens of people calling in.. The other part is a restaurant and we are glad we reserved as it was full and stayed that way... We had starter and mains and the food was lovely.. Really nice... Prawns were super.. Spring rolls were big everything was so good and did I mention the noodles..

Irate customers waiting similar time i.e. one hour and staff totally disinterested and dismissive of complaints. It would appear that online orders get priory over telephone walk-in orders. Course black hair found in vegetable and cashew nut meal. Food went into bin.

Having driven past a number of times, we decided to give it a go. When we asked for a table for 2 the waitress had no idea what to do. Since there was nobody else seated what was the problem?The food was OK, the service not bad but overall a poor experience. The tables are in two rows with the staff constantly and repeatedly walking back and forward between what appeared to be two kitchens. It felt like a Takeaway with a few tables added. My biggest concern was that as we got acclimatized to the place, we realised just how dirty it was. I don't think I have eaten anywhere quite as filthy, even in China. The cutlery was greasy, the curtains would have stood up on their own and the carpet so grubby that if you stood still, you stuck to it!A pity, because I think this place has some potential. A deep clean, tidy up and redecorate would work wonders.

As it was newly open gave it a try wish I hadnât bothered.Ordered Beef Chowmein salt chilli chips and prawn crackers.The beef was tuff and would say it was cooked from frozen.The sauce that was over the noodles was just soya sauce and tasted disgusting.The chips were not not cooked and looked like they were reheated.They were hard and tasted of nothing .The prawn crackers were soft.This is the worst Chinese meal I have ever had.In fact itâs the worst meal i have had on a plate in front of me.I wouldnât even have fed it to my dog.I can only think the Chinese chef was back in China for the Chinese New Year and the delivery drivers were cooking it.I wonât be back and I will not recommend to anyone.

Dropped in for lunch today just after 12.00 Place was filling up rapidly ,great selection of food on offer with the roast of the day being Pork which my partner said was delicious I had the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Chicken Korma Superb flavours . The desserts do not set the heather on fire but we did not come for them it is the excellent starters and variety of main courses that do it for us .
