We made it with minutes to spare. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10am. Baps are the available until lunch. Luckily there were no hold ups, the gravel crunched and we made it. Normally I would choose a variant on a full English breakfast, but I eschewed that in favour of waffles. A large waffle buried beneath a carpet of strawberries and blueberries. Had I not looked up places to eat I would have missed this place. It is well worth finding, b ut do not be late.

Lovely relaxing tearoom/coffee shop/cafe serving properly homemade cakes, sandwiches, pies, toasties etc. No heirs or graces - just good honest real comfort food. The coffee and tea, and also the smoothies, are all good quality too. There are so many good things about this place. It is attractive to everyone and caters very well for people with allergies. We had walnut, banana and chocolate cake, latte and hot chocolate. The quality of the food is great, friendly service and not too expensive. Thereâs one large toilet witch also has the baby change facility. Breastfeeding friendly too. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit and thank you for your kind words. I will be sure to pass them on to the staff.

Although the plant selection is vast and the other sections are very wide ranging I feel that the prices reflect the area and that the cafeteria is very limited as to their menu and not everyone wants extremely healthy eating at expensive prices maybe a return to wholesome home style cooking at decent prices would be beneficial

We stopped at Stow on the Wold in the middle of a long and tiring drive and found the Hive. It could not have been more perfect. A warm welcome as we came through the door, a comfy corner to relax, freshly brewed leaf tea, scrumptious scones and home made preserves. Fantastic.

My wife queued to order food. When she got to the counter, the waitress snapped at her that it was table service. We then waited and waited for our order to be taken, but no one came. They were not busy but were just talking amongst themselves. I really wanted to like the Old Mill. However over several visits in the last year I and my wife have unfortunately found we cannot trust the quality of the fiod provided by this restaurant/cafe.First, we have observed that the food is better presented and cooked if the owner is present. Second, the same meal can be well cooked and presented one day. Then on another day it's totally different. Today I had fish cakes - these were tasty and cooked/heated just perfectly. But my coffee tasted weak (unlike previous coffees). My wife had pitta bread, humous and roast veg. She found the roast veg had a most unpleasant taste. Her meal was very different to the same meal ordered a few months ago. A couple of other comments... The wifi is rock solid and very fast (64 Mbps/sec or more for download). The decorations also look in need of a refresh.

A good night in the heart of Burford. Warm welcome, adequate size room, shared loo and shower, beautiful garden. Rooms to rear of building so not noisy at all. Free o/n parking on street or at nearby car park. Excellent breakfastMany thanks for your review.
