Sure there's plenty of inexpensive food in Panama, but it was such a refreshing change to go to a more upper scale restaurant that really takes pride in the decor of the meal and the taste of the food. Absolutely delicious! Had a squash carrot soup and seafood ravioli. The family next to me ordered sumptuous waffles topped with ice cream for their kids.

This is not a fancy place. But the service is great, and the food was so tasty. The pizza, in particular was outstanding! The "12" size is not a personal pizza - it will feed 2 people. The restaurant is small, but the do take reservations.

When we visited, most of the people in this cafe were locals which I consider a good sign. The portions were huge and the food was good. The history of this place is interesting and it claims to be the only restaurant with legal approval to use the Coca Cola name and logo, as a result of its relationship with the bottling plant. The service was great and I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a low key, no frills local meal.

We stopped by this bar in the middle of a walking tour. It is very unique inside and the staff was extremely friendly. There were also regulars in the bar who said it gets very packed and active on the weekends. It's a great spot for people looking for a 'local' joint with a unique flavor.

Of course we are not able to travel without pining for Italian. Stepping off the cruise ship with a tour of Old Panama for an afternoon gave us the chance to meet Manuela (from Italy no less). Her chef was getting prepped for the typical late evening meals and we just wanted a pizza so as Pizza is the main ingredient of Italian fare, he created two very tasty pizzas along with a large pitcher of Sangria. We were well stuffed and tipsy as we strolled out the door with satisied smiles. Truly a pleasant surprise and yes, better than the ship food.

We travelled in rural Panama, and wanted the vibes to remain chill when visiting the city. Staff, food, and atmosphere were out of this world. We were able to stay relaxed and continue vacation in a fast city. We visited twice during out 5 day stay, and highly recommend to all those visiting. After a long week in Panama City, I decided to visit the Casco Antiguo area, there were a lot of options but this place was unique, 5 floors and each of them had something different. I stayed on the roof top all night, the view and the service was just amazing...Yeah!!!Muchas gracias for the Review, it is really nice to become your 5 stars Greeting from Compadre!!

We were staying close by so we walked down to Coffee Max. The waitress was friendly and our poor Spanish wasn't a problem as she spoke English. Two club sandwiches and a couple of drinks hit the spot. We also received (on the house) bread and butter and then a dessert of Nutella pastries.Lots of fries with each sandwich. The beer and soda were cold. We probably could have eaten there again but we were only in Panama City for two nights and there are lots of choices. Thanks to all the TA reviewers that have been to Coffee Max before us and pointed us to an affordable, filling meal.Yess! Thanks to all the reviewers and you!! We hope you can visit us again!
