I have eaten here many times before, both lunch and dinner. It is a favourite of my grandson. The food has always been very sound as has the service. It was the same today except when we presented our lunch discount vouchers issued by the restaurant on their website.Some downloads from the restaurant site did not disclose that the offer was over. They stated that the offer ran from November to October except in December. These were what we presented. It was then drawn to our attention that on the restaurant's website, the offer ended on 29th August. How the vouchers differred, I do not know. The exclusion clause was seen on the restaurant site as ending on 29th August. It did not apear so on my screen shot, downloaded in the morning before our visit. The waitress was very nice, stated that there had been issues with the vouchers that other customers had experienced too, and liaised with the manageress on duty. She kept out of any discussion and made no attempt to communicate with us. Consequently, I paid much more for my lunch than anticipated. The miscommunication on the website vouchers and the reluctance of the management not to personally try to explain the differences have not really endeared me to return. The non-validity of some vouchers does not arise until one presents them at the end of the meal as instructed, once the food has been eaten and payment expected. If there has been some misrepresentation or confusion, perhaps customers could perhaps be alerted to this before they start to eat at lunchtime?I will not be returning to Chamas despite the food quality and my six visits this year. There are other such restaurants in the area that perhaps I am now more encouraged to visit.Good evening William,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Ate here tonight with my partner and three children. We were greeted by really friendly staff (who I have to say were amazing throughout our meal). The salad bar was really, really good. The french fries that were brought to the table were lovely too. Iâm vegetarian and had a freshly made risotto (there were other options) along with the salad bar and a couple or the veggie things that came round. The pineapple with cinnamon was delicious.My family loved the different meats, especially the lamb. My children really enjoyed this. They loved helping themselves to the hot and cold food at the salad bar and trying all of the delicious meats that came around. We were a little sad that the halloumi didnât make an appearance but cannot complain as the rest was so delicious.I would recommend this place to anyone. The venue is lovely, great staff, service and food and actually we thought it was a very reasonable price around £65 for a family of five (one child aged 4 - under fives eat free) with drinks.We will go back probably the next time weâre in Beverley! came here twice this year once for my birthday and again for hubby's birthday we are both big meat eaters and we wasn't disappointed the food was great well cooked and just kept on coming .
