The restaurant is really nice and cozy , here you can taste typical food such as pasta hand made with truffle, wild mushrooms, artichoke , local meat , I really enjoyed tagliata with truffle and lardo, very good was the dessert "sbriciolata " with custard and berries , instead the tiramisu was not so great.

Not much to look at from the roadside, however venture inside you will not be disappointed.The service and hospitality as you walk in is second to none. We ordered Antipasto from the region and it was a great mix of cured hams, salamis, dried vegetables under oil and home made bread, absolutely mouth watering. We followed this by a mixed grill of Lamb, Beef and Pork cooked on a charcoal grill, although the Pork was a little dry the rest was quite tender.The wine list is quite concise featuring a lot of the local wines, which is typical of this restaurant serving local produce.The service was above average but very efficient, we went on a Saturday night, the restaurant would have had at least 100 people and the staff seemed to cope extremely well. The food was served quickly and with a smile.Definitely worth tasting the Local Abruzzo food.

Nice little restaurant, make sure you book a table because sometimes they do not open for dinner. Took the meat based entree with salame, etc. Not so fantastic. Followed by wild boar pasta(average), and grilled lamb main dish.(over cooked but ok). Maybe next time I should try the pizza and beef instead as it seems to be ordered by many other customers. Overall portion is big, price is very reasonable. Average or so so food (meat based). Have yet to validate the pizza and fish... So many next time.

Visited with a recommendation from a friend and I've never been more impressed. The ristorante itself is fantastically decorated by the owner who built the venue himself, with a great atmosphere and wonderfully friendly staff. The food was incredibly flavourful and well portioned, and was served quickly by the amazing staff. I can wholy recommend this ristorante for any newcomers or locals to Aielli!

Stopped for lunch on this quiet place on the side of the road. Great view of the mountains and Piccolomini castle. The owner and cook were very nice and hospitable and the food was great. Had a mushroom soup with great character and delicious grilled lamb. Overall we were very pleased with our meal.

I went to this restaurant 15 plus years ago with my father a few times and loved it. After years of remembering a couple of my favorite meals I set out to find it on TA. With help from the forums I did and then I confirmed it with one of my cousins. He drove us from Rome to visit. After reading reviews here I was scared that I could ruin one of my best memories. Not a chance. They were so nice and remembered my father and other family members. The food was as I remembered it, amazing. Portions and pricing are great! I am so happy that we returned and I cant wait to get back. Know this when you go here. It is not some place to go eat in a hurry. Make an afternoon of it. Take your time. Savor this place A true gem.

The best meat in the area!!!We came here after we heard of the place from the local people.Its a small and nice restaurant with a very friendly service.We ordered the "Arostochini " which is the local dish and it was delicious!!! The steak was also very good and so was the local beer.Make sure you come early because the place is small and if you come late there might not be a table for you.
