I was travelling on the motorway from North to South so the A1 Milano/Napoli. At the fantastic Orte motorway junction (about 80km north of Roma) you can find fuel at reasonable prices as well as this wonderful hotel and restaurant, it is about 50 metres from the motorway pay booth. There is massive space for parking as they cater for trucks, and the restaurant is clean and simple and the food and service are truly excellent!! Remember that in Italy if the truckers don't get good food then they do not return!We had a fantastic risotto washed down with some beer and some water, coffee to follow and the bill was a miserly 8 Euro each!!!!!NOT to be missed if you are passing by.

I had a family meal here and it was beautiful. It's a picturesque setting, looking out onto Umbrian hills. There's an outdoor patio, and it's a boutique hotel so it feels exclusive. It's very reasonably priced - in a major city, think at least double the cost, and the spaghetti amatriciana I had was absolutely delicious (and it only cost e10).

We visited the restaurant during our holiday in Italy - we were 15 and the staff catered for us really well. Have to say leave room for the antipasti - absolutely LOVELY! Great local wines. They say all the streets lead to Rome. What they did not say though is that if you leave the motorway at Orte (40 mins form Rome) you literally jump into Ristorante Tevere, a simple and cosy place run by Augusto's family. The place is not exactly elegant or new, but what you get is great value for money. Food is genuine and local and they use tasty ingredients that are nowadays hard to find in a restaurant. Ask for their steak and you will not be disappointed!!! One of the best 'bistecche' I had in a wile! Service is fast, place is clean and the prices are low ( but do not tell them!) ...

Simple restaurant with great local cuisine. Had dinner here twice during our stay in Narni and both times had a great dinner. Fantastic steak fiorentino (2.2 pounds) and perfectly grilled, served on a hot stone platter. Outstanding wild boar pasta and great ravioli with butter and sage. Personell speaks very little english, but our limited italian was enough to get buy and everybody was very friendly and tried their best to make our dinner a wonderful experience.

On our way to Rome and following the accommodations of tripadvisor, we stopped here for lunch. I will make it short and sweet, everything was superb and tasty priced very reasonably. Service was excellent and the atmosphere just beautiful. Next time and yes there will be a next time, will try they grilled meats.

Stayed her once again on our way to Fiumicino. Rooms are simple and very reasonable. The restaurant is the star. In August, weather permitting, dinner is outside and my wife and I always have the same dish, veal chop freshly cut from a large piece of veal. Then grilled on a barbeque to perfection by the same man who has been cooking there since, at least, our first visit in 1999. A great last memory of Italy before flying back to Asia.We have already booked for our return visit in July this year.Many many thanks for your review!!!It is so nice for all of us to know that on the other side of the world, there are special people like you who love to come and visit us from time to time!I will be waiting for you to come back in July and I will be more than happy to make a special toast with you to celebrate this "super special" 19th anniversary with us!!!

The restaurant is in the same structure as the hotel, but is separate in all respects. It is not elegant, but the food was superb. Everything is fresh, seasonal, an much of it made in-house. The service throughout the meal was friendly, attentive and they are clearly proud of their cooking. It is worth a detour to eat there. The bill for two complete meals plus wine and water was quite reasonable.
