Ioannina (Greek: Ιωάννινα, Greek pronunciation: [io̞ˈɐ.ni.nɐ]), often called Yannena (Γιάννενα, Greek pronunciation: [ˈʝɐ.ne̞.nɐ]) within Greece, is the capital and largest city of the Ioannina regional unit and of Epirus, an administrative region in north-western Greece. Its population is 112,486, according to 2011 census. It lies at an elevation of approximately 500 metres (1,640 feet) above sea level, on the western shore of lake Pamvotis (Παμβώτις). Ioannina is located 410 km (255 mi) northwest of Athens, 260 kilometres (162 miles) southwest of Thessaloniki and 80 km (50 miles) east of the port of Igoumenitsa in the Ionian Sea.

From the friendly service to the absolutely mouth watering menu, it also has a playground for children to be entertained for hours... Having been there twice I can say it is my favourite place to go in ioannina. The food was so good you actually can't stop eating... If in ioannina you must go!!Thank you for your review . We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you in the field again. The value for money is what sets us apart. Comfortable and closely supervised area for children and carefree moments for parents is our obligation to the client. Our dishes are cared for to please even the most discerning guest. Have visited Metsovitiki folia on the 25th of August.Where should I start???Excellent saganaki, Greek salad had a "twist" - capers were a nice interesting flavor, fried kefalotyri, 1 lamb kontosouvli.Literally, everything was very tasty.Good and cheap choice.Staff has been very friendly and smiley.Have in mind that you have to walk a 5-10 minutes from parking places.Good job Metsovitiki Folia team!!!

........and pretty reasonable too. I had a chef's salad, the boss ordered a chicken gyros. Salad was OK, but heavy on the lettuce and light on eggs, ham, cheese; heavy too on the slightly over-sweet tomatoey mayonnaise dressing. Too heavy, in fact. Gyros was good; the bread wrap was superb (I swiped a bit to be sure) but boss unable to finish the generous portion. She'd ordered chicken but got pork - she should have said, but struggled on and quite enjoyed it - but would have preferred the chicken. Anyhoo, two meals and two beers, â¬15 so not complaining. Friendly place.

The only think I would like to mention as a good thing, is the location!The food not so good . We were not satisfied and that's because chicken skewers(souvlaki) were uncooked . You could see that pinky color inside. Really disappointed. 1 for the location 2 for the friendly guy at the service
