The name of the restaurant means in dialect âThe Tool Shedâ. Itâs an interesting intimate place made up of different seating areas inside, each with its own ambience; and for the summer months Carmine, the gregarious owner, opens a fabulous garden dining area.Between himself, his lovely wife Giovanna and his Mother who works the kitchen, they manage a successful restaurant that prides itself on Cilentan dishes, cooked using the freshest local produce. I dined there recently and had the freshest sea bream that I have tasted in a long time. My antipasto of fresh marinated octopus salad was delicious and beautifully presented. To complete the meal Giovannaâs homemade torta caprese has to be tasted to be believed. They also boast a great wine list. The restaurant team is friendly and attentive and unlike other restaurants in the area remains open throughout the winter months. This summer they have opened a pizzeria too, serving a varied selection of pizzas, to keep up with their high overall standards. They often have live music at the weekends.Restaurant UâMazzeno is definitely worth a visit if you are in Cilento. During the summer, booking on Friday and Saturday nights would be advisable.

What a find this was! Its on the rooftop of the Hotel Antoinetta just off the main square in this lovely town. Not to be confused with the restaurant downstairs (which is pretty good too!). I would strongly recommend booking, not because its busy, but just so the widest range of fresh seafood and meat is there for you to choose from. There's no real menu as such but you are greeted by the owner/chef who will talk you through what he has available as its all seasonal and local. The choice will range from the catch of the day brought up from the harbour to some really top quality perfectly aged steak. Whilst your choice of fish (sea bass, bream and several local fish we hadn't come across before) or meat is being cooked before your eyes on the grill you are treated to a superb range of antipasti. These aren't huge amounts, but enough to whet the appetite and leave room for that freshly grilled main course which comes with a delicious selection of grilled vegetables. There's a decent enough wine selection which is pretty much all typical of the local Campania region from the same producer. Presentation of the food is wonderful and the taste does not disappoint. We had to revisit a few nights later it was so good. The price is reasonable too when compared to the other two main restaurants just across the square.All this is done by the chef/owner who is passionate about his food. His English was better than our Italian and he was delighted to explain the origins of his food. Nothing was too much trouble for him and everything is done with a beaming smile. This great night out was rounded off by a local digestif on the house. I hope to go back to this region soon and this place will be high on my list of places to go back to.

We had our wedding reception in Caicco restaurant, everything was ordered and organised by Cilento-Travel.eu and Italian Best Weddings. We had a fantastic wedding in the old castle and after the wedding ceremony we and all guests had a nice walk to the old square in Castellabate where we got served canapees and champagne. The musicians was together with us all day and entertained our guests in the aquare wile we had our pictures taken in the old parts of Castellabate. After finished in the square we went to Caicco and when our guests came out on the terrace they all lost their mouths, its just a fantastic view and the susnet was perfect. Food, drinks end service is perfect. We reccomend Cilento Trave and Italian Best Weddings for you who wish to organise your wedding in this place. They are local and know what they are doing. We would not have this great experience without them

situato nella bellissima zona LAGO si s. maria, trovate il lido agave. lo frequento da diverse estati, e mi è sembrato doveroso recensirlo su tripadvisor, visto che ancora nessuno lo aveva fatto.la spiaggia del lido agave è al dir poco stupenda: acqua cristallina e ombrelloni distanti l'uno dall'altro, sembra di avere una suite in un hotel quattro stelle.personale giovane, gentile e disponibile.cucina eccellente usando per la maggiore prodotti del territorio.dalla colazione all'apericena il lido agave è il format ideale per la vacanza di qualità restando anche in prezzi più che normali.complimenti di cuore.
