This visit was for three adults on a busy Friday evening. Parking was available at the front of the building. There was a large party in the rear area and we were found a quiet table at the front, and we were able to look into the kitchen.We found the whole experience excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The food was very tasty, not your usual, 'base sauce with extras thrown in'. We could watch it all being cooked fresh. My wife's king prawns were slightly undercooked, but this was quickly rectified with apologies (however, lost one 'star'). A really nice pub set above a lake at Harefield with great views of the countryside.A decent menu with quite a wide selection of food and pretty decent sevice by both the waitresses and by the bar staff. The food was exceptionally nice as well.The only downside that we had was that the cutlery had run put and when it was replaced some was not as clean as we would have liked.In summary: great food with reasonable portion sizes, decent value for money drinks, nice prompt and friendly service from the staff.

Had a gorgeous Lamb Shoulder with new potatoes here, at a very good price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife has to have reduced meal sizes due to an operation and they were very helpful and understanding. There is a pond next to the outdoor eating area, which makes for a very pleasant meal on a nice sunny day. It's not a village idyll, due to a fairly busy road nearby, but very pleasant. We were passing through and chose this place for Sunday lunch as it was listed as dog- friendly and it looked like it had a lot of greenery around it for a nice post lunch walk. We were not disappointed. Very friendly welcome, nice ambience, offered the dog water. Good menu choice- the usual Sunday roasts offered ( I had a lovely vegetarian Chestnut roast with all the trimmings incl veg gravy and a great yorkshire pudding) and hubby had steak which was a good size and he said was perfectly cooked. Great chips too! Yummy dessert choice. Nice lakeside walks nearby. Will definitely come again if in the area. We both had two courses, and bill was just over £40 incl two pints of beer so we thought this was good value.

Lovely neighborhood restaurant with fabulous neapolitan pizza and great vibe!This is an excellent local cozy pizzeria. The dough and mozzarella used are outstanding. It is also absolutely delicious, one of the best pizza restaurants in London. My family and I will definitely return. I would highly recommend it.

Every dish adds unexpected ingredients and presents itself in a unique style that makes the food in this gastro pub exceptional. The whole kitchen brigade are to be complemented.Coupled with a young service team that is both knowledgable and has personality, this is an excellent place to dine out.Ciara in particular is a great example of the wait staff. Unfaltering standards over several years is a compliment to Manager Wesley. Highly recommended by this experienced reviewer.

Dined here again last week and we always enjoy it. We both travel forty miles from opposite directions to meet up for lunch and have never been disappointed. We had a lovely table by the window and service was efficient, professional yet friendly. We always enjoy the daily specials. We always share a dessert as we are so full. Easy to park in the road. Looking forward to returning.

this delightful hostelry which has featured in many TV programmes serves excellent food at reasonable rates and always makes you welcome with the feeling that you are a valued customer. The staff are consistently charming and friendly with a lovely garden area as well.
