What to do and see in Yorkshire, England: The Best Water & Amusement Parks

October 8, 2021 Timmy Ribble

Yorkshire (/ˈjɔːrkʃər, -ʃɪər/; abbreviated Yorks), formally known as the County of York, is a historic county of Northern England and the largest in the United Kingdom. Due to its great size in comparison to other English counties, functions have been undertaken over time by its subdivisions, which have also been subject to periodic reform. Throughout these changes, Yorkshire has continued to be recognised as a geographical territory and cultural region. The name is familiar and well understood across the United Kingdom and is in common use in the media and the military, and also features in the titles of current areas of civil administration such as North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire.

Really enjoyable day for family with a 3 and 7 year old, plus grandad. Excellent value for money as pretty much everything is included in the ticket price (except coin operated quad bikes and remote controlled boats). Enjoyed completing the huge maze and the smaller ones. My favourite thing (mum) was the House of even more Cornfusion!!! Fantastic!!! Children loved the giant corn snake slides and we all loved the tractor ride!! Really friendly and welcoming staff...Jonny on tractor ride, Ewan on slide (especially for letting kids have a few 'last goes' on them at closing time!), Julie on Angry Crows, ladies and Josh doing the pig racing and KerNoels House party and other staff who stopped and chatted throughout the day. Seemed like they all genuinely loved being there!! Brilliant day out for all. Wish we had been here before but have always been put off slightly by the ticket price. However, considering this was a full day 10am while 6.30pm and it is soooooo much more than just a maze we will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic, so much to do for such little cost, the kids were amazed! Bungee jumping, donkey rides, face painting, arts & crafts, huge mini golf, rides, adventure park, water park (fountains and paddling area), ride around the park on a train, free museum. So much to do, something for everyone and well suited for all ages up to age 12. For 4 of us it cost me £25 and this included 5 rides, ice cream and drinks. It can be as expensive as you make it. Definitely worth a visit ????????????????????????

A lovely day out, I don't know who enjoyed it more, me or my four year old! We have visited digger land a few times now and each time has been amazing. There is so much for children and adults to do. It's a real family day out where everyone can get involved. The restaurant on site had a good selection of food and is reasonably priced. The gift shop is also very competitive prices and you get a free certificate for your child. There are so many opportunities to take photos as well which is always a bonus!

We visited 2nd jan 2020, about 12.30pm the drown alarm went off and we saw a life guard pull an elderly lady out of the deep end. He dived back in to rescue his glasses. Miserable crowd didn’t clap (we started but no one joined in). We had a great time - 4 year old loves the waves, pirate ship and kids splash area. 6 year old loves going to the green striped slide with her 7 and 9 year old cousins. We arrived at 11 and although a queue to pay there was no queue to go into the pool. When we left at 1pm there was a small queue to get into the pool. You book in advance for a particular time but the prices are significantly more - see website.

Great facilities - I use the gym, classes and pool regularly since it opened in 2015. Great modern gym with great equipment. Lots of natural light too so. From entering the building to leaving the staff are always there to great you with a smile and assist if needed. The classes are amazing too. I use the pool with my toddler who loves the pool. All in all I glad I live locally to use this amazing centre regularly.
