Bumpy driveway but worth the effort. Wade & family deliver warm hospitable cheer. Exploring solo “Dad time” and had the cheese plus 4 small beers tasting platter. Of latter, 1842 pale the best with fantastic hoppy tone. On way out, scooped a Boosey Blue cheese for home. Likely return with family as kids can play an old school table top retro games system for free. Kind bonus for parents looking to relax.

The Yarrawonga Hotel

Reviewed By Sarah I

After many people recommended the Hotel to me I absolutely had to try and I was not disappointed. The menu is huge with typical pub food but the seafood is INCREDIBLE. It was fresh and well cooked and easily some of the best seafood I've had in the area. The bar itself has a great vibe and the interior is super funky. There are a range of people there from families to couples to those just wanting a drink. It's also well priced and the staff are really helpful. I will absolutely be back.

We stumbled upon the Cumberoona while stretching our legs on the Yarrawonga foreshore. We were all happy with our decision to hop aboard for lunch. Lunch is very simple but inexpensive. If you have an hour and a half to spare and want to unwind a bit then take the trip. If you're looking for some excitement then best look elsewhere, but our whole group came away relaxed and refreshed and a great deal more knowledgeable about the Yarrawonga area.

Chinamans Island

Reviewed By roy v - Traralgon, Australia

While holidaying in Yarrawonga we walked to Chinamans Island and spent time strolling around and Reading all the many little notice boards that explained about the many species of birds and plants to be found in the area.
There were also boards telling you all about the early families that settled here , building their homes and developing market Gardens and the one family that developed a slaughter house here and supplied the town with fresh meat . It was at one of these market Gardens that the Chinese man Jimmy worked from whom the Island has taken it's name from .
Very peacefull and heaps of bird life to enjoy .
We liked the place and congratulate all that were and are involved in this great natural community area . Well worth a discovery walk .

AquaZone Water Park

Reviewed By martianmowing - Bacchus Marsh

First thing Australia Day morning what more could you want than jumping in the cool waters of Lake Mulwala. This was a whole bunch of fun for both myself and my 10yo. We felt like we were contestants on "Wipeout" hahaha and looked just as silly as we bounced, slipped and fell our way through the course. There are lifeguards everywhere, a full induction prior to starting and is one fo the best attractions we found on our 5 day Yarrawonga holiday. I thought it was a bit exy at $16.50 p/p for 1 hour but was so wrong...money well spent. I also thught 1 hour was going to be a bit short but was plenty of time and were were both well and truely spent by the end of or hour. If you are there and it is open...DO IT. We booked a day earlier and just walked up at our designated time, we went on the first one of the morning, they run hourly, and when we drove past in the afternoon it was full as full. so glad we went early.

Yarrawonga Foreshore

Reviewed By roy v - Traralgon, Australia

Holidaying in Yarrawonga at the moment so this morning we walked the foreshore.
Lovely walk along side the lake, quite a lot of water birds about and plenty of toilet facilities.
Good play area with waterslide for kids and barbecues and a fenced off pool area in the lake .
Some good information boards to read about the early paddle steamers and barges that plied their trade on the river in this area .
Great that the residents years ago decided to clear all the trees before the lake was formed when the weir was built, what a great water area it is now where all sorts of water sports are held .
Nice to see the small cruise boats tied up early in the morning before they start their days work showing people the lake area.
A nice walk that takes you to Chinamans Island, we enjoyed it
