We were a group of 8 - friends & families - coming from Beijing in the night train. We visited Big Goose Pagoda in the morning and Terracota Warriors in the afternoon. Perfect timing for visits and time to rest, set up by Nancy. She was a superb guide, extremely professional and providing all kinds of collateral information that is necessary for westerners (from Portugal, by the way) to understand better what we were visiting. Good lunch at a recommended restaurant and we were also left with time to make some shopping (I purchased one big terracota warrior, very nice at home now that I´m back). We were left in the railway station to catch thr night train to Shangai and Nancy stayed with us intil we boarded the train. Excellent tour, professional guide, good value for the money.

All the sights were great, but meeting and finding a friend in Lin made them memorable.

Lily and Michael were so accommodating in this class! There aren’t too many tourists to Xi’an at the moment, so they invited me to their house. Michael met me in town and took me to the local market to buy ingredients, then we went to their house, where I learned to make biang biang noodles. They also prepared some other dishes (spinach noodles, century eggs, and a pork jelly dish) for me to try. They were so friendly, and I will definitely try to make the noodles again! I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Xi’an who enjoys food!
