Happy Valley factory has been open to tourists since 2011. We conduct factory tours for our guests at our facility. The tour includes introduction to the history of Darjeeling and Happy Valley Tea Estate, explanation of tea cultivation in fields and manufacturing process of tea. This is be followed by a short tea tasting/appreciation session. The tour takes approximately one hour.

Darjeeling Tea has gained worldwide recognition.  There are a number of Tea Plantations in the Darjeeling Region.  Sourenee Tea Estate is situated in the picturesque Mirik Valley of the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India. The name Sourenee is a combination of two words: “Sour” – a tree that grows in this region having some medicinal value and “Rani” which indicates ‘Queen of the Valley’.   You will have a tour of the estate (plantation), then lunch will be served at the Garden Managers Bungalow.  After lunch, you will be given a tour of the factory and take part in a small Tea Tasting Session.
