Walked into this music hall and was enthralled by the setting. Tickets were easy to get directly from the front desk and had seats (free seating) right up in front. Having the musicians playing up close and to see their passion as they played were an awesome experience.

Venice Music Project

Recommended by the New York Times in the article "36 Hours in Venice," Venice Music Project presents its fourth season of concerts, taking you back in time to the era when Venice was a musical center of international prestige. Together, we will discover the great tradition of music in the Veneto, performed with original instruments and performance practices, in the prestigious Palazzo Rota Ivancich, where Hemingway and Liszt were among the many important guests. Our resident orchestra, Venetia Antiqua, will also host prestigious ensembles from around the world. An important part of our mandate is the restoration of the places where we perform and the works of art that they contain, to help the city to remain alive for our own and future generations. This will be possible through our US501c3 non-profit organization, Friends of Venice Music Project, our Italian Associazione Culturale for European donations, and additionally a portion of box office receipts.

Collegium Ducale Orchestral Concert

Reviewed By MDeleuran

We experienced Collegium Ducale two nights in a row at Palazzo delle Prigioni. The first night we listened to primarily Vivaldi (the entire Four Seasons) and were astonished at the musical talent. The second night we listeded to Opera (a mixture of e.g. Rossini, Bizet, Mozart, Verdi and Offenbach) and were again pleasantly surprised. The first night we paid EUR25 per ticket - and found it to be exceptionally good value for money. When we on the second night told their ticket office that we had been there the night before, we were offered a substantial discount, paying only EUR15 per ticket. The setting is relatively small/intimate and the acoustics splendid. We warmly recommend this!

Palazzetto Bru Zane

The vocation of the Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française is the rediscovery and international promotion of the French musical heritage of the long nineteenth century (1780-1920). Its interests range from chamber music to the orchestral, sacred and operatic repertories, not forgetting the lighter genres characteristic of the ‘esprit français’ of the nineteenth century (chanson, opéra-comique, operetta). The Centre was inaugurated in 2009 and has its headquarters in a Venetian palazzo dating from 1695 which was specially restored for this purpose. It is an emanation of the Fondation Bru. The palazzo (Casino Zane) opens its doors to the public for free guided tours. Every Thursday afternoon, you can admire frescoes of Sebastiano Ricci and Abbondio Stazio’s stuccowork.
