Sevenoaks Shopping Centre

Reviewed By MarriedAnd-Over-50 - Mission, Canada

I have been in the Fraser Valley over 20 years and Seven Oaks Mall is a place where I can find some things I have needed even when off season. It has a reasonably good parking lot all around. There is a supermarket, a couple if department stores and many more merchants that offer a good variety of items and services. The food court is fair, and it has what one expects in a mall. As the competition with online stores increases the mall changes often, sometimes some merchants just move to another local within the same mall, and then one can take advantage of pretty good sales. I like many things about this mall. They do not build these type of malls any longer. I think because it is too expensive to built and to maintain.

In the heart of downtown Richmond, the mall offers a very good selection of retail stores and services. The food court upstairs always has a good selection of food places and there is always ample seating available. As well there are several formal sit down restaurants on the property. If you are parking, there are 3 main areas that will give you easy access to the mall. As well, Hudson Bay is attached to the north entrance with parking also.It is one of the best shopping centres in the lower mainland and there is the Canada Line station across the street for easy transit use.

1. It’s not a luxury mall. It’s more casual and fun, great for families with kids as there’s quite a few toy or kid stores. If you do want more luxury items, a place like park royal in west van or the airport outlet might be better :) 2. Yes it’s overcrowded, beware of that. The crowds are not bad if you’re used to them, but I do understand how it can hinder your experience. For parking, I definitely recommend immediately looking for them underground. There’s normally near no parking above, and underground MIGHT be easier to find because it’s all connected. 3. There isn’t a lot of eating spots- most food is in the food court, which yes, is mostly Asian or fast food. However, right across the street from the main entrance (the side with the superstore entrance and movie poster) is a lot of restaurants- sushi garden is definitely a good one for any sushi lovers out there :) It’s a casual mall with not a lot of specialities- I think the most special part of Metrotown is how many different Asian cuisines and shops you can find- a lot for hem are quite unique. For example, currently there’s a shop on the floor above ground level selling anime and manga goods, as well as a Chinese styled shop selling cute figurines on the main floor right next to Uniqlo- the likes of which I’ve never seen anywhere except for actually in China. Also lots of Asian brands like mini so and Uniqlo that are quite unique :) Lastly, for people without a lot of Asian markets, I would definitely recommend going to T&T to pick up some Asian snacks. It’s a good experience, both cheap and fun :) Hope you all enjoy coming to Burnaby!

I visited there for shopping. This mall is not huge but really comfortable for me because not crowed in the mall and train as well. We can go to Hudson's Bay directory and now there are huge sale maybe because of Chinese new year I guess. We could buy commodities such as high brand dishes, plates, cups towels and so forth. I was so excited to shopping.
