Uttarakhand (English: /ˌʊtəˈrɑːkʌnd/), officially the State of Uttarakhand (Uttarākhaṇḍ Rājya), formerly known as Uttaranchal, is a state in the northern part of India. It is often referred to as the Devbhumi (literally "Land of the Gods") due to many Hindu temples and pilgrimage centres found throughout the state. Uttarakhand is known for the natural environment of the Himalayas, the Bhabhar and the Terai. On 9 November 2000, Uttarakhand became the 27th state of the Republic of India, being created from the Himalayan and adjoining northwestern districts of Uttar Pradesh. It borders Tibet to the north; the Province No. 7 of Nepal to the east; and the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh to the south and Himachal Pradesh to the west and north-west as well as Haryana on its south-western corner. The state is divided into two divisions, Garhwal and Kumaon, with a total of 13 districts. The interim capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, the largest city of the state, which is a railhead. The High Court of the state is located in Nainital.

Its Heaven on earth. If you are fit and moderately active then its easy for you. Visited during 9 - 12th March 2021 to see view from the both world - Snow & Greenery. For solo traveler / experience silence, deep nature & freedom, i recommend to hire guide cum cook from base village who will arrange Tent, Food, Pony and everything you need. Its also cheap. Dayara resort at Barsu introduced guide cum cook Deepak, who was aware of up & downs of every corner of Dayara. Recommended route is Barsu - Bharnala camp - Dayara camp - Bakaria top to Gui camp - Raithal. Or Reverse route. Its unforgettable moments of life.

Chaubatia

Reviewed By Himanshuji - New Delhi, India

Chaubatia garden is a wonderful sloped garden, with tall trees to greet you, numerous flowers and fruit trees to welcome you, and views of Himalayan peaks to wow you ! It is a government garden maintained superbly, with an outlet of organic local produce and a small outlet selling an amazing collection of flowering plants and succulents ! All in all, a wonderful place to spend some peaceful time walking on and around a hill slope :)
