What to do and see in Utah, United States: The Best Farms

July 9, 2021 Russell Mellin

Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

Mesa Farm Market

We are farmers. We grow the food we sell. We serve fresh organic vegetables and salads. We bake artisan bread each day in our wood fired stone oven. We make fresh cheese from the milk our goats give us. We also serve a darn good cup of coffee. Stop and sit on our porch and enjoy some good food.

A working historic farm!

We LOVE coming here to go on a stroll past the farm animals, get a ride on a tractor around the property, or to just stroll by the stream and ice ponds. Great all seasons of the year, and a wonderful chance for photos.

The Ref Barn is an awesome stop for families, couples or anyone. Great selection of ice cream. They have an entire large refrigerated room to check out fresh local fruit, vegetables and cheeses. The main store is Floor to Ceiling a beautiful notty pine. Stunning. The store sells a great selection of treats like chocolate covered cherries and nuts. I enjoyed the selection of old toys like Jacks, Marbles and Pick-up-sticks. Joust an enjoyable place to stop and stretch your legs. Just 30 miles south of Provo.

Staheli Family Corn Maze

Reviewed By jkessler5

It's a living FARM, not an amusement park. Owned and operated by the Staheli family. Farm animals all around and all the delightful, refreshing sights, sounds, and smells of county living. Kudos to the family for keeping things going. The corn maze is just one fun aspect of the farm. There are tours for school groups throughout the year. Local schools have put on performances there. And if you need to buy some alphalpha you can do that too.
