Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

Fantastic experience

A short 2 night stay to visit Zion and this hotel exceeded my expectations (and I'm picky). Super clean, all the staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet. Nice pool area - photos don't do it justice. Really appreciated the additional protein options at breakfast buffet - Greek yogurt, peanut butter... didn't need to stock up at Walmart on our way in after all. Thanks for a great experience. I will be back.

I stay in St. George 3-4 times a year. There are 3 BW's in the area (now only 2, not sure what happened top the other). When it is me-pay, i stay at the lest cost place, which is never Abbey Inn. When it is company-pay, I stay here because of the breakfast. It is the best in the BW's I have stayed. Problem this trip is the hot tub not working (bad). Also the TV's are 2nd gen TV's and need to be upgraded.

Good Location

This place is fine, but we thought our stay at the Grand Hotel across the street was much nicer. It was insanely crowded for breakfast, often due to large bus groups. Rooms were basic. Went to the pool area. We were the only ones there except for 2 cleaning women who were doing more talking than cleaning. They seemed to be annoyed that we were there. Bathroom there was flooded. Try changing your clothes in that. A real challenge. No Men's room available for my husband. Prices were more reasonable than the Grand Hotel, but we would have preferred to stay there if it had been available,

The hotel was in a great location. Close to Arches National Park. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Fresh ice water in the lobby infused with fresh fruit was available throughout the stay. We didn't eat breakfast there that morning because we were in a hurry but there looked to be multiple items to choose from and hot items. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Budget Double Room was in the petrol station forecourt.

Reviewed By leek1972

After a long journey we arrived after the stayed 15:00 check-in time only to be informed by reception that our room was not ready and to come back in 30 minutes which we did and collected our room key cards. We were told that our room was down “near” the petrol station which came as a surprise, but off we went to find our accommodation. The allocated room block was in fact facing the petrol station forecourt and physically part of the car wash facilities! Here there are actually four duplex style rooms, two facing the petrol station and the two rear rooms facing…..well nothing really…..as these are accessed via a shared corridor so the room window views this corridor. There is a walled patio area at the back but without any real views except of a large white horizontal storage tank. These rooms are totally unsuitable for guests that are expecting a view of Monument Valley. I went back to reception to ask for a different room, to be informed that because I had booked via a 3rd party (booking . com) - there was nothing they could do. So I went back to the room and called my original booking agent (booking . com) who agreed to do everything they could and resolve this issue. We then had our room upgraded to a suite directly above the lobby, paying the difference and eventually got into our room two hours after arriving. Credit to booking . com and the duty supervisor at Gouldings Lodge who sorted this out for us but why on earth would ANY hotelier contemplate building accommodation blocks within the perimeter of a running petrol station forecourt - it beggars belief! Certainly there was no warning or advisory about this when I booked the room so I would suggest equal culpability for that. In the end the suite was large, fully equipped, comfortable and had a perfectly positioned balcony with a brilliant view of the valley. The suite itself is dated, with old redundant electrical switches that seem pointless. In contrast the “budget” room down in the petrol station forecourt was modern and finished to a much higher standard, very confusing. We ordered a takeaway dinner from the restaurant which was ok. The menu is limited in choices. Although we managed to get our situation resolved I do feel that we were misled - at no point during the booking process was there any mention that the selected room is part of the local petrol station and car wash and certainly no mention that these rooms have absolutely zero view (of anything). The staff at the lobby were initially quite dismissive to our predicament but thankfully due to the 3rd party agent intervention, the Gouldings lobby supervisor seemed more sympathetic and resolved this issue to our satisfaction.
