Union island and the Grenadines are every bit as beautiful as anything in the South Pacific. We stayed with the JT KITE CENTER on the beach for 10 days. It was fabulous. My wife took lessons with the extremely professional staff. I was able to kite every day with the rest of the international clientele... and made numerous friendships at the same time. We won't hesitate to return to this paradise.

We went to Happy island with our dinghy when anchored in the bay. Good dinghy dock. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. We just took a drink, same price for virgin drinks for the kids as for our drinks - 20 ec dollars. The drinks were good and the view amazing. It is a very special place well worth visiting.

Caribbean Kite Cruise - Day Trips

For kitesurfing addicts we offer catamaran tours of the best kitspots in the stunning Grenadine Islands. Cruise the finest kitesurf destination in the Caribbean with a group of friends for the ultimate kite experience

Reviewed By Susan H - Toronto, Canada

10 spectacular days aboard the Kayenne, sailing through the Grenadines and experiencing spectacular kiting spots checked a few boxes off our bucket list. My husband had some kiting experience and was hoping to improve, learn to sail upwind and become more independent. I was completely new to the sport. This trip exceeded our expectations. Captain Mark was an exceptional teacher/coach. Using patience, humour and his vast knowledge, he was able to help each guest to reach or surpass their goals. Dara, not only created incredible meals, but also shared her kiting knowledge and experience with the group. As a woman, it was a real treat to have another woman's perspective on the sport. Mark and Dara were welcoming and accommodating hosts who made us feel as though our catamaran was our home.
I managed to injure myself ( completely my fault) while kiting. Dara and Mark went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I received medical care and also to help me continue to enjoy my vacation. For this, I am so very grateful.
I would recommend this trip to any active, kite loving, adventure seeking travellers. Truly a special vacation.

What a beautiful bay with a big quiet beach and some wonderful snorkelling. Loved it! Definitely a lovely spot for swimming and snorkelling. There are restaurants along the beach with fair prices and tasty food.
We definitely will return to this bay either with a tour or with a chartered catamaran.

Had a great day out with Sebastien on his boat. Picked us up from Union Island and visited Morpion Island for snorkelling then on to Petit St Vincent followed by Friagate Island for some incredible kitesurfing. After Kiting we went down to Chatham and then onto the beautiful island of Mayreux for an incredible local fish and lobster lunch. After Mayreux we visited the Tobago Cays and snorkelled within feet of the turtles. On the way home we decided to cast a fishing rod out and got a really nice Travalli. All in all was a superb day Sebastien knows the Grenadines like the back of his hand I would highly recommend a trip with him.

We visited the Grenadines in early January. I arranged a kite boarding lesson on Mayreau for my husband. The lesson was scheduled for the time we would be staying at the newly reopened Salt Whistle Bay. Nicholas and his staff were great - he even met with us on Union Island early in our stay to answer questions and arrange logistics. The instructors came to Salt Whistle Bay with equipment for the lesson and were not only patient, but a lot of fun. I think we're now hooked on kiteboarding and Happy Kite will be the first ones we call when we return with the whole family next year.

M/V Lady J-J

Reviewed By Lesly D - Vancouver, Canada

If you want to travel between Union Island (part of St. Vincent and Grenadines) and Carriacou (part of Grenada), you are travelling between two different countries so can't just casually pop over, although they are close enough to view each other. The Lady JJ makes the crossing twice a week. It is a working boat that squeezes passengers in along with whatever freight is available, so don't expect anything luxurious. But you will get an authentic West Indian travel experience. When I did the crossing an old man was trolling a fishing line off a spool, and caught a fish each time. The boat would slow down, allowing him to pull his catch in hand over hand. Troy runs the boat and is an excellent source of reliable information about travel in the area. He has a Facebook page and actually gets back to you when you email him. His contact info is [email protected]. When I was doing my trip through the Grenadines, it was almost impossible to find out accurate schedules and establish which boats were running to what places. When I thought I had it nailed down, the fast ferry I was depending on stopping running for the month of October--when I was there. My back-up plan was LIAT, the local airline, but it happened not to fly to Union Island the day I had booked as a fire truck was not working. So having someone local you can communicate with who responds is most valuable. Troy will let you know the processes you need to go through to clear customs on each island.

Cruising on Corsair is a special way to spend time with your loved ones, a unique experience on the water in Grenada, an extraordinary way to travel to the Tobago Cays and the Grenadines, a relaxing sunset cruise, an exciting snorkeling or scuba diving experience in the Caribbean, or good food and company on a comfortable yacht. Whatever your reason, we are happy to make your time a memorable one!

Reviewed By Erin E - Lancaster

It has been a few days since we disembarked from Corsair. Last night, my husband said, “I feel like I’ve been through a break-up.” He went on to note, “I met this really amazing girl, but I didn’t get enough time to spend with her.”
Corsair leaves a lasting impression. She was given a new life, through the hard work and entreupentrial spirit of German-born owners, Marc and Ivonne. Her history is as intense as her beauty. Once a shrimp boat from Biloxi, Mississippi, and now a ship that sails the Caribbean, she has been restored with modern amenities that would accommodate even the most discerning guest. (Guests have USB ports in their sleeping quarters.)
While sitting in an antique claw foot tub, the star of Corsair’s bow, Marc oriented us to Corsair. All you need to know when considering booking Corsair, is that she stays true to her history, and doesn’t need a gimmick to impress. She is comfortable for sunbathing, welcoming guests back from a snorkel or dive, kayaking, entertaining, or relaxing.
Marc and Ivonne are knowledgeable about the sea, fantastic chefs, and just might make you feel like you’ve been able to take part in what feels like a tamer version of a real-life Robinson Crusoe adventure. But if you’d rather just sail the seas and read a book, they are happy to accommodate any type of vacation or occasion you have in mind. Corsair is also perfect for a day charter.
I encourage anyone thinking about booking Corsair to do it now, because her charms will quickly be discovered by Grenada’s growing tourism. We will not hesitate to book another adventure again. If I can convince my family, we'll see her again this year.

Sitting atop the highest peak on Union Island, looking out 360 degrees on a beautiful sunny day, at Carricou, Petit Martique, Petit St. Vincent, Palm Island, Mayreau, Tabogo Cays, Canyuan, and Bequia Islands. Beautiful blue waters, sailboats, kite boarders, Clifton and Ashton. The best view on Union Island full stop.
Our guides "Bongo" and Nicholas guided us to the top, and yes it is a bit of exercise, but well worth it. We all had some good laughs going up and coming back down, and the we will do again when we return. Definitely bring a liter bottle of water per person. We booked our tour through Erika's Marine Services. At first it looked rather intimidating, such a steep mountain, but Bongo and Nicholas helped make it a piece of cake. Well worth the effort.
