I can highly recommend this great spot for a rest or overnight camp on the road to Ushuaia. This Lago is a little way out of the town of Tolhuin but easy to find, and has easy access to the hoary from North and South. You can swim if it's not to cold. There might be a stiff breeze to contend with but you'll almost certainly love this place regardless

Dormendo proprio sul lago, abbiamo intrapreso questo piccolo trekking nel tardo pomeriggio, sfruttando le ultime ore di luce della giornata.
Ne sono uscite alcune foto dai colori davvero incredibili.

We loved this special little cottage in this special little village. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well equipped and has heating. Uno de los atractivos naturales de los que puede disfrutar aquí, es el trekking al Cerro Jeujepen. Desde Tolhuin tiene dos caminos alternativos para iniciar este ameno sendero. Uno que se inicia desde la Ruta 3 hasta llegar al vértice de la cabecera del Lago Fagnano (Khami) hasta cartel indicando el camino hacia la Hostería Kaiken. El otro desciende desde el centro de Tolhuin hasta la zona de cabañas y camping Hain hasta entroncar con la ruta nacional. En ambos casos debe seguir continuando camino al costado de la ruta hasta ver otro cartel que indica la entrada al circuito de Aguas Blancas. De su mano izquierda tendrá el sendero de ripio rumbo al Cerro Jeujepen. Desde lo alto del cerro hay un mirador en el cuál tendrá una vista excepcional y panorámica de todo Tolhuin y del majestuoso lago. Si no hace mucho frío, el lugar invita a quedarse un buen tiempo.
Es un trekking fácil, tranquilo y sin ninguna dificultad. Recomiendo.

Al norte de la ciudad de Ushuaia pasando el Lago Escondido, en el Paso Garibaldi, se llega a la Escuela Provincial Numero 6 "Entre Rios". De alli girar a la izquierda hacia la Bahia El Torito.
El camino es de ripio en buen estado, en medio del bosque. Esta señalizado.
Se llega a la Bahia donde se puede acampar, hacer caminatas, pescar, o simplemente disfrutar de ese hermoso entorno, en medio de la naturaleza y el silencio.
Para visitarla.

Durante la visita al Lago Fagnano buscamos el Museo Histórico Kami para conocerlo, sabíamos que el edificio fue declarado Patrimonio Histórico y Arquitectónico de Tierra del Fuego, y que antiguamente funcionaba allí una sede policial. Queríamos informarnos acerca de la comunidad Selk´nam y del proceso de poblamiento de Tolhuin, pero estaba cerrado. Lamentablemente no verificamos bien los días y horarios de visita, era lunes, y el museo abre de martes a domingo de 15 a 19 hs. Me tuve que conformar con tomarle una foto al exterior del edificio.
