LAW's objective is to rehabilitate suffering and sick animals on the island through sterilisation and care. LAW also provides mobile clinics and education support to the wider community. LAW is open to visitors every day from 9am to 5pm. Please come and join one of our regular, uplifting and motivational ‘Behind The Scenes Tour’ which our volunteer staff happily provide. Our rescued dogs need exercising daily, visitors with substantial dog handling experience are gratefully welcomed to help us at 9am. Enjoy socializing with our cute rescued cats in Kitty City and have a bite to eat or a refreshing drink in the WiFi Kitty Cafe. Browse our Kitty Shop for a souvenir. Our major sponsor is Time For Lime Cooking School, Restaurant and Bar, (opens 5.30pm) without their valuable support we would not be here.

I can’t recommend visiting Lanta Animal Welfare enough! We weren’t sure what the center would be like in the low season (most of the rest of the island is a ghost town) but the second we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a volunteer named Kelly who got us signed up to take some puppies on a walk and take a tour of the facilities. While we waited, we got to cuddle with all the friendly cats in their “cat city” and chat with Kelly about they work they do there. Dog walking was really fun — we got to walk two super energetic pups and the volunteers that walked with us were friendly and eager to chat with us. They also had mosquito repellant that they offered us as we walked through part of the woods. After dog walking, Kelly gave us a full tour of the facilities and talked in great detail about every space, dog, and activity that went on at the center. She was super knowledgeable and communicated an incredible amount of info while keeping it engaging and interesting — not an easy feat, as it was POURING rain for most of the tour. After the tour, she let everyone know what they could do to support the center’s efforts, both monetarily and not. I can’t stress enough what a great time we had at the center and how much anyone coming to Thailand should come visit! Learning about their mission and cuddling kittens were both highlights of our entire Thailand trip.

Kanta Elephant Sanctuary

Kanta Elephant Sanctuary, The Ultimate Elephant Sanctuary. A new dimension of seeing, feeling and touching the elephants in the wild open space, happily. As they are parts of our family there is no need to control them in the harm way. No Training Hook No Ankle Chain and absolutely No Riding. Our elephant were take care of by our Carer with love and respect.

After looking through loads of reviews for a sanctuary where they treat the elephants properly, I can recommend Kanta wholeheartedly! Absolutely superb, picked up from hotel, change into uniforms and hats (elephants need bright colours to see you), fed sugar cane and grass, then made them sticky rice balls and fed them those too. “Nine”, our guide was superb, looked after and educated us all day, with so much information in good English. Lunch was delicious egg fried noodles, with soup and watermelon. Even bathed the elephants at the end. We loved it!

The experience I had with Patong Inn Art was amazing. I ordered 4 large paintings and a couple of my travel companions also ordered 3 or 4 items. We required all within 14 days and the service was exceptional. Ray listened to all our requirements, was very patient with any changes we wanted and provided the best advice. The artist worked so hard for us and all paintings were beyond expectations. I would recommend Patong Inn Art to anyone who would like artwork done while in Phuket.

Samui Elephant Sanctuary

**Winners of Best Animal Welfare from the Tourism Authority of Thailand!** **Recognized by leading animal welfare charity World Animal Protection as a Best Practice Elephant Venue** We are very proud to bring the first elephant sanctuary to Koh Samui in Southern Thailand. Set on forest land, we offer a retirement home for elephants who have worked exhausting hours in the logging and tourism industries. Feed, walk with, and observe our gentle giants as they roam, socialise, bathe and enjoy a peaceful life that they so deserve. Join our morning or afternoon program knowing you are supporting ethical elephant tourism and helping to make a difference.

Reviewed By NINABUDDEN - London, United Kingdom

This is the only genuine elephant sanctuary on the island where elephant comes first, not the visitor. It’s worth every penny you pay, these people are saints and each elephant has its own minder who is making sure those old ladies have everything they need! These beautiful giants have been tortured, abused and have been working hard for most of their lives, this sanctuary makes sure it gives them the retirement and enjoyment they deserve. Sanctuary is purely self financed by the ticket sales and donations and all the money goes into making sure there is enough bananas and food for them as well as gives the sanctuary a chance to buy and save more elephants ( their price can reach 5 million bahts!). Make a difference, help them out, spend a day feeding and walking with elephants in their own environment, it will be a memory you will cherish for life! Thank you for reading this.
