This park covers a large area around the city centre, so it is not appropriate to put a street address.

We have been to Hämeenlinna many times and mostly our visit was limited to Häme castle and centre. But our friends (who had moved here) took us around this area and that is when we realized that there is more in Hämeenlinna than just the castle. We were so surprised that we planned our next visit and stayed in a hotel just to explore the city and surrounding region. This regions has something to offer to people of all ages and preference. The options include golf course, nature trail, forests, lake, parks, adventure, observation tower, boat riding and so on. The area can be easily explored by car or bicycle.

Jokioinen Museum Railway

Jokioinen Museum Railway is a living steam railway, where you can either take a scheduled steam train, charter your own private train or just a carriage in a scheduled train for your group. When the trains are not running you can rent real railway hand cars and explore the railway on your own. In June, July and August there is a small museum and cafe open every day at Minkiö station. Over there you can also rent the hand cars. On other times you can reserve the hand car rentals on our web pages. Check also for scheduled steam trains in autumn and winter, like our famous Santa Claus Train!
