If you are touring around Kanyakumari district, Mathur Aqueduct or Mathur Hanging Trough is a must see place.. such a breath taking structure built in 60s for irrigation purposes. With a height from the bridge, you can experience a wonderful scenery of lush forest and river on both sides. When you get down on the other side of the bridge, you can even take a small dip in the river during seasons, since the water is clean too.. it is a wonderful experience to witness the river, the trees surrounding it and also the magnificent bridge...

It's a man made marvel that has been designed to connect Rameswaram island with main land. It's a long bridge that has been constructed in the Bay if Bengal. It's more than 2 Kms long. It's a man made marvel that is being erected on the Palk Straight. Unfortunately we can't park our car in the bridge. But we can walk on the bridge and adore the beauty of the sea.

we went out there out of curiosity..I had heard about it a lot,but never realized how easy it was to get there. reached there by bike and 8 am in mid March. heaved myself up the bridge..got a small catch but then it was a great sight..simply panoramic..view of the adyar river joining the sea was great.there were a lot of migratory birds and a few fishermen. the birds,the water and the wind made it such a lovely experience..lots of youth creating tik-tok videos..
