Sherwood Observatory is the home of the Mansfield & Sutton Astronomical Society and is situated in Sutton-in-Ashfield overlooking the town of Mansfield to the north. The Observatory building comprises of a workshop, office, kitchen, toilet, storeroom and a lecture room as well as the observatory dome itself which houses our hand built 24 inch Newtonian Reflecting Telescope.

What a fantastic evening at Mansfield & Sutton Astronomical Society, a very warm welcome by a group of volunteers to my son and I there to attend a lecture on the Life cycle of stars and spectroscopy, obviously very dedicated in their love of astronomy and sharing their knowledge looking forward to lecture 2 of 6.

AaaFantastic party! We had princess elsa come to out daughters party and she was brilliant! So great and natural with the kids, lots of games and a lovely dance performance at the end, thank you :)

This was my second visit to Teamworks Karting Mansfield and I cannot recommend them more highly. Great fun circuit, good karts and facilities are great and clean. The icing on the cake here is the staff, they are kind, friendly an helpful...this is brilliantly run and I would suggest getting yourself booked in if you are just thinking about it. I will definitely be returning :)

Lovely stroll round a lake covered with lots of swans ducks and other birds plus a small cafe to have a lovely drink and cake and dog friendly and very cheap summer or winter it's a must

I have visited Jimmy Beans many times with my grand children. I have always found the staff extremely polite, friendly and accommodating. They have certain rules set in place as most businesses do. Minimum spend on cards is £5.00 as a fee is charged to the business by the card companies. This is no different to any other business. If you want to pay the matter of pence on a piece of fruit then make sure you have a bit of change on you. The fact you are attending a party were food is provided is no excuse for not having a quid in your purse. The place closes at 6pm and they stop serving food at 5.15 pm nowhere serves till the door closes as they need to clean the kitchens and equipment. The staff are probably only paid for half an hour or so after closing so start clearing earlier. If you attend a party at 4pm heavily pregnant and the cafe closes at 5.15 eat before you go. I personally have always found the staff lovely. As for smirking I doubt that very much.

Had to call at Sutton Ashfield called in the shopping centre nice new building some nice shops in, Argos is Also in. It’s worth a visit if your in the area
