I went here the summer before last, (didn't give me the option below to put 2018) and was happy with the service. Very friendly and very informative, as well gave us lots of pamphlets. A very good place to check out.

Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum is a charming collection of historic buildings laid out as a street with houses, a church, a school and a barn. The 14 acre property also includes a Tea House (open Fridays and Saturdays for lunch during the summer months) and an interior 1930s street with interactive touch screens. Some of the buildings on the property are available to be rented. The Museum hosts school field trips and weddings and is also a venue for events such as Stony Plain's Canada Day Celebration, The Blueberry Bluegrass Festival, The Cowboy Gathering and The Harvest Festival. Part of the property is planted and harvested using vintage machinery and traditional farming methods.

I've been here with school field trips as well as in a professional capacity to photograph weddings. It has been a great experience on all occasions. The volunteers are always incredibly courteous and helpful and everything is beautifully maintained.
