Clyde Butcher's Big Cypress Gallery

Clyde Butcher's Big Cypress Gallery is located along the scenic Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41), 47 miles east of Naples and 36 miles west of Miami at Mile Marker 54.5, about half mile east of the Big Cypress National Preserve Oasis Visitor Center.”To know the swamp you have to get into the swamp.” The gallery offers guided swamp walk tours October-March and Cottage rentals year round.

Clyde's photography, the oversized grand fine art prints and the gallery setting are a celebration of this man's passion for a highly overlooked and misunderstood landscape - the Swamp. After we took part in the Clyde Butcher Swamp Walk with Scott the wonderful guide, which you can book ahead of your gallery visit, we were blessed with our very own and unique bond to the swamp which was beautifully introduced to us by our very passionate guide ( a photographer himself with his work on display in the gallery) when walking through knee deep swamp Water. Clyde's impeccable print quality, the details of each photograph and the monochrome nature of his fine art prints offers you a gateway into the unknown world of the swamp in such beautiful and powerful way. His photographs distille the essence and peace of the swamp to its finest. We bought one of his books called " America the Beautiful" - a wonderful connection of different American locations through Clyde's eyes. Highly recommend to pair the gallery visit with a dry or wet swamp walk ( depending of the weather) which starts at the gallery.

My husband and I have lived in Naples for over twenty years and when we decided to buy our first piece of original art we anticipated the experience to be intimidating and overwhelming, but it proved to be anything but all thanks to the extremely kind, open, and highly knowledgeable owners Olga and Leeza Arkhangelskaya of East West Fine Art. This elegant yet approachable gallery located within Mercado shopping district is filled with gorgeous pieces displayed with equal beauty from a variety of artists. We left with an oil on canvas painting from the extremely gifted Russian artist Irina Alexandrina. This magnificent piece now hangs in our living room and brings us tremendous joy. We look forward to many more visits to East West Fine Art gallery and adding to our collection.

AlexArt International Art Gallery

AlexArt International Art Gallery is an iconic gallery downtown Sarasota, next to the Opera House. It opened in May 2016 as Massimo Meda personal art gallery, exhibiting only his 3d-fluorescent paintings on aluminum. During the second season, it introduced new Italian artists showcasing the hyperrealist fine art photography on aluminum of Fabio Dal Boni, the oil on canvas of Guido Borelli and his wife Danka Weitzen, the oil and acrylic on wood of Paolo Passoni. This third season will see local and American artists and Venetian glass art, too. It will also host monthly exhibitions and will continue its successful tradition of poetry readings, private dinners, and participation in music and film events.

AlexArt International Art Gallery is located at N Pineapple Avenue in downtown Sarasota. It is not a large gallery, but the art works exhibited there are fascinating. The talented artists whose works are currently displayed in this gallery, create unforgettable images of nature, people, landscapes, objects of reality, objects of artists imagination, etc. These images are created superbly by using unbelievably and strikingly enhanced colors, and modern painting/fine art photography techniques (like 3D fluorescent paintings), as well as by more traditional techniques. When I visited the gallery in May, there were fantastic works there by contemporary Italian artists. I was mesmerized by all their paintings. Especially memorable for me were 'Marylin Diamonds', 'Audrey Saphhires', 'Call Me a Dreamer', 'Pink Beauty' by Fabio Dal Boni, 'Wave' and 'Sunflowers' by Massimo Meda, and beautiful oil on canvas paintings depicting unforgettable views of Venice by Guido Borelli ('Venezia, Grand Canal' and 'Vernazza'). In my view, the owner of the gallery Alexa Scanziani is doing an invaluable job, by bringing ultra-modern art to the view and admiration of people - to those who know art, to those who love and appreciate art, to those who want to learn more about the ever-lasting, timeless beauty of art and about world cultures. Totalmente affascinante. Grazie mille!
