A beautiful historical tourist sight to visit, cute shop on sight with local handicrafts. Daily access inside during the summer time.

Interesting Place. Religious Spirit, some paintings, and building details were luckily saved from original Valamo Monastery, which was located on the island at Lake Laattokka. Original monastery is now part of Soviet / Russia occupied Karelia. Monastery and surrounding gardens are great. Lot of things to see.
