I had my first hiking experience with their help. We have visited a place near Brașov that took my breath away. They made me feel like I was part of the team and made everything feel super easy. I was a bit scared about snakes and bears but I knew I'll be protected in case of anything. This is the first day after the experience but I already look for the following one. They are professional, super friendly and, most of all, interesting people from which you feel that you can learn a lot of things. I truly appreciate and recommend them.

I connected with Secret Romania thru trip.me. Florin and I worked together to put together a 9 day trip with a driver/tour guide. Florin was so easy to work with. He accommodated everything I asked for. He responded so quickly when I sent emails even though we are 10 hours apart. He picked us up from the airport and took us to get something to eat before we settled into our hotel. In the morning we met our tour guide Ana. She was amazing! We drove around the country together for 9 days. She knew the history of everything, wherever we went. She even added a few off the beaten path stops that most people never see. She was so friendly, funny and happy. We had a trip that was far greater than we ever expected! We have traveled a lot, but must say this was one of our favorite trips! I highly recommend Romania and without reservation I highly suggest Florin, Ana and Secret Romania if you are going there. Many of our friends have put this on their bucket list after seeing all our pictures. I told them Secret Romania and Florin Preda are the only way to go!! Cant say enough great things about them. Just trust me! Use them!

We recently spent three days / two nights on a privately guided tour of Transylvania. Bucharest is a lovely city, but there's a great deal more to see in Romania, and we were delighted with the Transylvania excursion organized by Authentic Romania Travel. Our guide and driver, Emanuel Balaban, is extraordinarily well informed. In addition to the scheduled points-of-interest on the tour, he added some stops that were oriented towards some of our interests, but was able to organize everything in a way that did not disrupt the timing of the original schedule. The pick-up at our hotel and drop-off at the airport made for very easy travel, and the background information added by Emanuel made for a very informative trip. We are planning on returning to Bucharest for the Enescu Festival, with the add-on of a trip to Moldavia, and we would happily book Authentic Romania Travel and Emanuel again.

The short hikes on the hills of Moieciu de Sus are a unique experience, due to the red of paths developed in time by the locals, who needed to get to their sheepfolds, where they used to shelter the cattle, to feed them. These paths are random and unmarked and in their gran majority go through locals pastures, but whichever we take, it always gets us to a marvelous place! All along the hikes, the views over Moeciu Valley, Fundata, the Bucegi and the Piatra Craiului mountain ranges are stunning!

I.ll say! This is one of the most beautiful place in Ro. And you have a good road till there, which is a plus in Ro. You can take long and relaxing walks, or you can go on bike tour or traks on the mountins with a variety of difficult. You can rest and watch the beautiful green views arround with the Bucegi Mountains on top. Good traditional restaurants. I recommend Taverna Moeciului. Good place to stay. I reccomend with excellent score Carpatica Lounge. From there you can visit Bran, Sirnea, Piatra Craiului and the beautiful road between Campulung and Bran.

Almost all the trips that go to the Bucegi Natural Park are made from the part of Sinaia, which is the tourist part and where there are always large crowds both people and traffic. We prefer to start the excursion on the opposite side, the west side of the Bucegi, which is the authentic, wild part, where you really enjoy nature and where, apart from shepherds with their herds of cows and sheep, we rarely find other people .

Inclusions: Native Spanish guide.

Exclusions: Transfers, meals, drinks.

A truly memorable half-day circular hike in the Carpathians staring in Moieciu de Sus. The views were spectacular and Nacho had plenty of anecdotes about local farming traditions. Heaven for photographers and nature-lovers. There were some quite steep climbs but Nacho went at the pace of the weakest in the group and helped on difficult sections. Excellent English too.
