Located in the heart of Central Park, the oldest hotel in Sinaia may take you back in time. On the streets where once upon a time well-known writers and wealthy persons used to walk, hides an amazing old place built in 1880 - Hotel Regal 1880*** . Stylish and opulent like only a boutique hotel in a restored historical landmark can be. Completely restored in 2014.

Piece of history

Reviewed By mcfnet

This is an old hotel refurbished, close to the central park and to the city centre. It looks very nice, the rooms are large and the furniture is also retro. The walls are not very well isolated as you can hear noises from the other rooms. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are big but don't have ventilation. The heating is perfect, not too warm as you can sleep well. The restaurant can be very crowded sometimes so you have to wait:( The staff is very helpful, ready to solve the problems.

Just like a castle!

Reviewed By 584xanac

We enjoyed very much our stay at Vila Camelia. Beautiful house, with a vintage air, with a beautiful living room and a very large chimney, large and clean rooms and also clean bathrooms and a very nice restaurant with a diversity of dishes. It's a 5 minute walk to the city center and very close to the atractions that Sinaia has to offer. The staff was very nice and polite. If you want an incredible experience, Vila Camelia is the place to stay. We will definitely return.

It’s hard to enjoy yourself here - could be much better !

Things to note: 1) the hotel has two sides- one is renovated and decent , the other is old and creepy and dirty. If you don’t know this, they automatically give the old rooms. I’m not sure when I’ve seen a grosser pillow, carpet or shower. We were able to change rooms after we discovered that 1/2 the hotel was renovated. Even in renovated room no wifi, AC was broken and phone didn’t work. 2)the spa was absolutely packed with people and super loud. 3) we had 50 minute deep tissue massages that were very mediocre- we didn’t feel like the people had any training or experience and wasn’t worth the money. Overall, super mediocre and overpriced

Lovely Hotel well worth the price

Reviewed By Jeff B

This hotel is a short drive from the airport and if you love plane watching them coming into land you will love this hotel, the rooms are double glazed so ther is very little noise from the planes. All the staff here were very polite and friendly. However, here were a couple of problems I encountered with the hotel. I booked the hotel as it shows the use of the water park and that there were two restaurants at the hotel. But sorry to say, the water park was being refurbished and the weather was hot and sunny 32 degrees, Why not do this in the winter months, and why doesn't their website state that this work was being carried out and that there was only one restaurant now in use. My first day there I arrived at 05,30 am and after a quick check-in I went to my room which was 325, and then it was time to go to breakfast at 06.30, which is when the restaurant opens so I was first in. The food was vey good and hot. However, on my second day I went for breakfast at 08.30 and sorry to say I was not impressed. The fried eggs were stone cold. I pointed this out to the lady who was on duty at the door, but no action was taken or any apologies given sadly. Other than these problems I enjoyed my short stay here, and would stay there again.

Lack of respect for the guests

Reviewed By 937mariuss

We booked a apartment for two nights for 1000 ron. We called prior to ask a room not on the ground floor, once arrived they said that our type of room is available only at ground floor. We made a upgrade with 50% more on the original price. So we asked to see one room, receptionist seemed upset about our request, refused to offer us a room at higher floors saying the rooms are not available. Was a Sunday evening with three cars in the entrance, other receptionist confirmed later that they had free rooms- I guess the lady was not in the mood to help us. After check in we found huge amount of ants in the kitchen infesting our baby dishes,(picture was done after we removed everything we could catch) dirty walls which were like that from some time, water leak in the bathroom. The hotel does not have a restaurant so we ordered in room dining, selection is a comunist joke of a breakfast- eggs, ham, cheese, jam, juice and coffee. On check out we informed receptionist about our issues, funny or not, the ants exterminator just entered the hotel and heard our discussion so decided to join, saying that it is a known problem and they will use chemical substances. In a couple of minutes the lobby started to smell badly afer those chemicals were used in other rooms. My complained remained without anu answer, the receptionis was happy that our discussion was heard by the cleaning lady!!!!! I will not tell anyone how to run their business, but this a total lack of respect for the guests paying 100 euros a night with complaint not listened by a manager, lack of profesional management and prices matching 5 star hotels but with no basic conditions. Sadly for the beautiful city of Sinaia.

Historic

Not necessarily the best hotel of our trip, but it was nevertheless a beautiful and historic building, breakfast was good and copious and the price was great! Location too is pretty good, with nice views over the village and the mountain and a parking space. What I liked less I guess was the room itself, a bit soul-less... 5* for the price and value for money!

Great hotel

Reviewed By Thomas G

It is a great hotel close in the city center. It is further away from Peles and Pelisor castle but a 20 minutes walk. The room is nice, but not special. The bed was very comfortable The people at the reception are very helpful. Breakfast was very big and had a lot of choices, although the staff was a bit fast with removing plates and glasses (especially because I was by myself). You can make a reservation for one and a half hour for the pool, which was a great pool with sauna. Also it can be crowded. Overall it was a great experience and I do not regret going here.

Spacious, clean, elegant and amazing staff

Reviewed By johnbJ3529MB

We stayed for a week and we will definitely be staying again. The hotel is old fashioned but in a very good way-elegant, clean and with instagrammable decor but the icing on the cake is the friendly and efficient staff...from cleaners to bar staff to reception there is nothing they would not do to make our stay successful. Excellent breakfast and in room meals were of excellent quality for a reasonable price. plenty of local shops including a brilliant bakery within 5 minutes walk.
