Kiskunsagi Nemzeti Park

Reviewed By Cetonia - Tubize, Belgium

I made a birdwatching day trip to Kiskunsági National Park with Tamas, from WingsOfHungary.com Winter is a relative quite season, but thanks to the field experience of Tamas, we saw a lot of birds wintering there, including thousand of geese, long-eared owl, bearded reedling, woodpeckers, great bustards... I recommand such a trip if you are birdwatcher. Tamas can pick you up in Budapest with his car.

Szarvas Botanical Garden

The Arboretum of Szarvas is on the outskirts of town Szarvas along the biggest horseshoe lake of river Harmas-Koros, where the weather is very extreme. Its area is 82 hectares and it consists of five collections of arboraceous plants. Among these collections the oldest and most valuable one is the romantic landscape garden on 42 hectares, which was established by the count Pal Bolza (1861-1947)
