9. Diggin on the Bar

Diggin' on the BarStep off the deck and onto the pristine red soil. Climb over the dunes and onto a sandbar. Watch as the water disappears from your feet, and sprays of water shoot out of a hole in the ground. YOU HAVE FOUND THEM......PEI CLAMS !!!!!Whether it's the soft shelled “squirt” clams, the razors or the Bar clams, you are about to embark on one of the greatest experiences in the world......one like no other. Watch as a professional “clammer” shows you how to find the buried treasure. Find the hole to dig, but not too close to the hole, dig on an angle, dig deep and fast. You are sure to gaze in awe as you set your eyes on one of these delicious treats. Fill your bucket and head for the shore. A fire will be ready, pots will be filled, and clams will be steamed.....grab a refreshment, sit on the deck and watch the sun set over the peaceful waters of PEI.
