What to do and see in Soho, England: The Best Fun Activities & Games

July 17, 2021 Leonardo Torrence

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

We had a great fun in the Right to the throne room(s) - we were a mix of experienced escapists and two newbies. The puzzles/riddles/tasks were varied, some easier some more difficult to solve. The props were fun. We finished with 10 minutes to spare which we were very pleased with. We really appreciated that we could get useful hints, which did not spoil the tasks, but helped us to get unstuck a couple of times. Everything went smoothly, from purchase to finding the place to the rest intro from (i think) David. Overall, loved it.

BucketRace

BucketRace provides both Private and Public Scavenger Race's. BucketRace provides a uniquely fun, competitive, explorative day out, that will leave you with great photos, unforgettable memories and a big smile on your face. Our scavenger hunts have been designed to allow you to discover the hidden gems of your destination, socialise & compete with your friends, and reinvigorate & inspire your inner child. Before our private events we arrange a consultation to really understand who we're designing the event around, to allow our creative team to piece together the most personal, special and unique experience. Our Public event is a 4-hour race around London, where teams compete against one another by completing tasks on the list (or BucketList) provided. BucketRaces goal is for participants to discover new places, activities and hidden gems within London, while meeting like-minded people and competing in a fun and friendly environment.

We used Bucketrace as an opportunity for a team-building exercise. I can't show enough gratitude to Launernce for all the work he put in. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was accommodated and provided an engaging experience the day of. The Bucketrace itself was out of this world fun and allowed everyone to explore the area while hunting down the clues. I would highly recommend and I would do again in a heartbeat.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne. It is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The critically acclaimed production is most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017. It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Curzon Soho

Reviewed By v1Callum - Woking, United Kingdom

Curzon Cinema is one of those small, retro-modern, classic film showing and retro diner 70-80's style with modern touches and seating cinemas. This trip was on chinese new year and outside was definitely busy than inside. The entrance and cafe are on the same floor as where you purchase your cinema tickets. The pricing is directly ahead as you walk in and also in the picture attached with my review. The 3 screen cinema with varying capacities have really comfortable seats and you are able to lounge easily without being uncomfortable. Curzon also show you trailers for films you probably havent heard or or seen of yet. If you like your cinemas and films and haven't tried Curzon before, you are missing out. I'm sorry to break it to you. We did not purchase any drinks or food in the cinema as we took some small bites to keep us going for lunch afterwards. The screens are not oversized and are big enough to be able to watch with ease and no strain on your eyes like some cinemas give you under white light. Memberships are available and are definitely worth checking out if you are a film fanatic and like being part of small cinema chains or it is local to you. with free cinema showings and heavy discounts available for students, concessions as well as standard memberships too. Feeling intrigued from my review, the link to the website is below. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.
