Camas Daraich

Reviewed By moogle1 - Durham, United Kingdom

One hell of a walk! Wear walking boots to get there as very rocky, hilly, boggy and lots of stones and quite a hike Our 6 year old managed so anyone can do it really Really worth the walk to get there The only disappointment really was when we got there loads of jellyfish so couldn’t go in the sea. Kids loved it, rockpools galore. We saw lots of sealions too when we went for a walk Spent a lovely day there Highly recommended when the sun does come out!

Sound of Sleat Beach

Reviewed By Catherinetas

The walk undulates through sheep paddocks and is wet in places, becoming quite braided and boggy once you leave the vehicle track. The beach is beautiful and in brilliant sunshine on the day we visited was reminiscent of the Aegean. Although there were numerous family groups and couples passed along the way the beach itself wasn't crowded and it was lovely enjoying a swim and a picnic before walking back to the car. Lovely on a fine day.
