Praised and adored for its smooth characteristics and beautiful patterns, silk has been long one of the main attributes to create clothing, scarfs and used into interior design in many hotels around Cambodia. This protein-fibre material and its applications into textile have been long the base for a stable industry, where local artisans used their weaving skills on looms for clothing royalties and dignitaries in the past. Its techniques and breeding the yellow silkworms are time-honoured traditions and with places such as the Puok Silk Farm, customers can get up and close with the delicate processes to get the raw material in fabrics of the highest quality. • Get the ins and outs of the delicate processes of silk production • Watch how silken thread is spun by local artisans • Admire the work done of a local NGO to keep looms moving • Learn about the ancient Ikan weaving method • See the final products at the farm’s own shop • Transfers from and to your hotel are included.

We started our tour at the war museum. It was really good and informative. You learn a lot about the Khmer Rouge and what they did. It is a horrible story, but very interesting if you like history. The tanks, weapons, grenades and the helicopter was really cool to see in person. The killing fields was disappointing. The only thing to see are the monument with skulls, which is pretty dark and really reminds you how bad this war was to the Cambodian people. The Artisans Angkor was so cool. You really get to see how they make sculptures with stone, tree and other materials. Really worth a visit! Overall, I would recommend this trip to everyone who visit Siem Reap.

We lived in Siem Reap for nearly 7 months in 2020. We explored Angkor Wat in a number of ways, but this Jeep Tour was by far and away our favorite experience. Mork was our guide. He is the kindest person you will ever meet. Between the history of the Jeep’s and the temples we visited, we have no idea how he retains so much information. He was patient and took time to answer all of our questions. Since the weather is quite warm in Cambodia, we were offered an ice cold water and wet wipe to cool down with between temples; this was an amazing touch. We highly recommend this tour as well as all of the tours offered by Bayon Adventure Tours (we took 3 total)!

This was an excellent tour package. Our tour guide Pal, was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and told us countless stories using the inscriptions and figures carved into temple walls. He provided us with history and context and made the temples come alive for us! As a result of the stories and our follow-up conversations, we also received more insight into other religions, particularly Hindu and Buddhists beliefs/tenants. We had some eye-opening/mind expanding conversations. Pal was great about answering our questions and he also had a good sense of humor. We got so much more out of our time at Angkor Wat and surrounding area temples because we had a knowledgeable tour guide. In addition, Pal timed many of our visits so that sunlight would be hitting the temples at the right time and providing good lighting for photographs. Often he would take us to areas and say "look there" and in front of us would be a nicely framed photograph. We felt our tour guide went above and beyond. We were interested in some of the plants and agriculture of the area and Pal would stop the vehicle and point out plants or explain some aspect of culture that we were curious about. When we expressed interest in some local folklore, he explained it to us, gave us examples and stories, and even called his mother, to give us more details! We believe the tour package gave us a much better understanding of the temples, the kings, and the culture and life of the temple time period. The tour package and our guide Pal gave us excellent value for our money. We highly recommend this tour and company. Very friendly and service-orientated.

Both blissful as revealing, this half day outing brings forward key elements of how varied, enthralling and culturally diverse Siem Reap actually is. Moving away from the Angkor magnitude that has put Cambodia on the tourism map since its earliest discoveries, this bustling town has more up its sleeve for a break away from UNESCO-protected temples, jungle-clad ruins, and historical anecdotes of what once was the centre of the world. Through Buddhism, its almost unavoidable connection with past battles, and its current drive to give the less-fortunate to shine like never before, three totally different landmarks of Siem Reap are taking centre stage, yet are unmissable when getting a total picture of Cambodia’s main tourism destination.

Would recommend this tour. Was very interesting but was great having a guide and not just a set of headphones at the venues. Almost every Cambodian is personally affected by what happened during this period, so being with a guide made it hit home even more.
