Dutton Goldfield Winery

Dutton-Goldfield is a partnership between grapegrower Steve Dutton and winemaker Dan Goldfield. Our mission is to produce world class wines that display the brightness of fruit, complexity, structure and balance that are reflective of our cool-climate home. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the mainstays of our portfolio, along with small lots of Syrah, Zinfandel, Pinot Blanc and dry Riesling. Our tasting room is casual and comfortable, with outdoor seating on our patio in the summer, and in our cozy living room by the fireplace in the winter. We offer several tasting options and are also happy to customize a special event for your group. We look forward to your visit!

The wine here is fabulous. Devil's Gulch Pinot Noir is one of the best I have ever had, Chardonnay is top notch, and even a really good Riesling. Across the board VERY well made wines...and the wine and sushi pairing is to die for. High quality sushi well paired with excellent wines. I've been kicking myself for not coming here sooner than this year...we will definitely be back. The tasting room personnel are very professional and knowlegable, as well...what more could you ask for?

MacPhail Tasting Lounge

A 40-foot sculpture of little red wagons and a wall crafted from the soil of four distinct vineyards set the tone for the MacPhail Tasting Lounge, where limited release, vineyard designate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are presented in a truly unique environment where everything is recycled, reclaimed or repurposed. Each MacPhail wine is crafted by nature, and nurtured by hand to allow the full expression of the vineyard to grace your glass. A variety of tasting flights featuring wines from the Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley and Anderson Valley are available in seated tastings or by the glass or bottle, to be enjoyed, perhaps, with selections from a featured local artisan cheesemonger. MacPhail had some of the best pinots we had our entire trip! We loved The Barlow. Charlie was awesome and an asset to this tasting room. The tasting room is super cute, loved the wagons. We purchased 2 bottles to take home. We will definitely stop again when we are back in the area.

Wonderful small winery. This is "boutique" without the snobbery. You can almost miss this place when you drive by. I really enjoyed the flight of Pinots. If you like wines from this side of the mountain, Char Vale is definitely worth a stop. They also have a Chardonnay and Pinot Gris to taste. The Pinto Gris was wonderful. The Chardonnay was a bit sweet for me, but I might use it with dessert. We were there during covid, so tasting was out on the terrace which overlooks the vineyard. Wonderful ! Hosts (including the owner) were super friendly and eager to answer all our questions. During covid you are encouraged to make appointments, but I have the feeling you can stop by this place unscheduled otherwise.
