Taller de Ceramica Terracota

Sebastian will teach you how to make some pieces by hand with the same techniques the indigenes of guane use to make their pottery before (the most primitive way to make pottery), and then you will try how to make some pieces on the wheel.

It was our first time doing pottery and it was an great experience. The class was all hands-on (including the use of the pottery wheel) and Sebastian was an excellent teacher - and very talented!

I’ve attended Spanish classes in several cities around Latin America over the years, but EHE ranks among the best. Professor Cristian and his team are absolutely amazing. Although I wasn’t at the school for long, I loved my classes and wished I could stay longer. During my time in Socorro I took private lessons at the school and feel like my Spanish really improved with Cristian’s teaching methods. The school is small, but the classrooms are great. Cristian also went above and beyond what his responsibilities were as a teacher - he took me on a town tour the day I arrived, invited me to join his family to partake in local festivities and explored the market with me on market day. He makes you feel very welcome. If you are looking to improve your Spanish level while staying in a charming Colombian town, then I would highly recommend EHE in Socorro.

Capilla de Santa Barbara

Reviewed By WorldTvlerParker_CO

I was immediately drawn to this small chapel upon seeing it ‘up the road’. ..and it didn’t disappoint! The floor of the chapel is actually slanted and the pews built to accommodate it. Great photo op from inside looking out.....and the history written on the wall inside...in Spanish.
