San Salvador de Jujuy (Spanish pronunciation: [san salβaˈðor ðe xuˈxui̯]), commonly known as Jujuy and locally often referred to as San Salvador, is the capital city of Jujuy Province in northwest Argentina. A wonderful city with old buildings and narrow streets. It invites us to travel to the past. I went with my family and we really enjoy the trip, We knew its historic neighborhood, its museums, the Portuguese and Spanish colonial buildings. We also visited the Colonia del Sacramento lighthouse which is surrounded by the ruins of a convent and has panoramic views.

My group of 14 people visited with the local family for a great dinner and empanada cooking session. everyone enjoyed the opportunity to try many of the local dishes and to even make one. the hosts were fantastic. as this was our first day in Argentina and it set the tone for the reminder of the trip.
