Pierre was an excellent driver and provided transportation to my group and I during our visit to Montego Bay. He was punctual, personable, engaging, friendly and made us feel safe. Just when we thought we had the perfect itinerary Pierre would show us a spot that topped what we had planned for the day. He's very aware of the Jamaican landscape and had us to our destinations early and safely. Most of our tours/excursions were booked independent of him (we didn't know before hand that Pierre was a tour guide himself), but Pierre made sure to stay with our group up until our tour operators came to meet us. Should I return to Jamaica I would definitely book him again not only for transportation services but as a tour guide as well.

Take an unique guided tour through Montego Bay while staying in falmouth hotel or docking at the cruise port. This beautiful Jamaican city has much to offer. Learn about the Rose Hall Great House - the family that owned this property and the haunting legends about Annie Palmer who was said to be a witch and killed many of her husbands. See her fine furnishings from the 18th century and enjoy a piece of Jamaican history. After this great cultural adventure it is time for lunch at Scotchies - enjyoing their fingerlicking Jerk. if you are looking for the perfect "Get Away From it All" experience then look no further than the Pelican Bar, a rustic wooden bar built on a sandbank a quarter of a mile out to sea, half-way between Black River and Treasure Beach. The Pelican Bar is the perfect place to spend the day being busy doing nothing, sunbath, drink beer, swim in the shallow waters, eat fresh fried fish or even bring along your fishing gear to catch your own dinner. The Pelican Bar quite literally began life as a dream, local fisherman Floyd Forbes dreamt one night of a bar built out to sea, resting on stilts. The clarity of the dream inspired Forbes to set about building this bar, which he did by transporting large planks of wood on his fishing boat. In 2001 the bar was completed and it was named "The Pelican Bar" after the large flocks of Pelicans who rested on the sandbank. It was originally used by Floyd and his friends to sit and take a break from a hard day's fishing.

The tour was amazing and Andray was so patient, professional and pleasant. The knowledge he gave about the cities we passed through was fascinating. Especially about the witch. The Nine Mile Bob Marley Mausoleum in Jamaica is such a compelling place along with, learning more of the history and legacy of Bob Marley was profound. Pearl and Crazy Jack and his laugh, unforgettable. Our guide Andray was genuine, attentive and supplied cold drinks plus, his driving was astounding. The vehicle was clean, perfect temp and perfect music selection. Will definitely book with Road Travel Jamaica on next visit 10????????????

(I don't know that it was "Skip the Line" -- there was no line, we just went up to the place and bought tickets to get in.) Had a fantastic tour of the Rose Hall Great House in May 2021 (during the pandemic.) We were staying at the Hilton Rose Hall, across Route A1, and just walked over, using golf cart paths, including a tunnel under the road (would definitely say that, if you would need to cross A1 to get there, take a cab!) The tour was $25 per person, and was personal (we didn't have to join another party.) During the tour, you walk through the house, with the guide providing both the basic story of Annie Palmer (the White Witch) and information about the restoration of the Great House. At the end, you are taken out to the gardens, and to Annie Palmer's tomb. What a tragic story! But only in the sense of the evil that Palmer had in her heart -- she may have been the product of a different age, but that doesn't forgive multiple murders, both of husbands, and of slaves. Overall, a great experience of Jamaican history, and well worth the time and money! (During the pandemic, additional steps were being taken, including temperature checks, required mask wearing, apart from outside photographs, and extra cleaning. We felt very safe.)
