The museum items primarily property of Tom Gasko who has opened a retail store (Mid-Missouri Vacuum) at 410 Bishop (Hwy 63 South) in Rolla, MO - pretty much across from Wal-Mart. Sells new sweepers from several manufactures (no Tacony Corp's Riccar or Simplicity models). Tom is very knowledgeable and also doing service and repair on various models.

Maramec Spring Park

Spring favored by underwater cave explorers.

I have visited Meramec Spring since I was a kid. I've fished, camped, walked the springs and old iron works; everything. This was the first time I had the opportunity to take my wife (whose not from Missouri) and kids (1 and 3 years old) and they loved it too. My son got a kick out of feeding the fish and I loved the time I got to spend with him doing it (even though the cost of the fish food dispenser rose from 10 to 25 cents, oh well) It's a great place to go with the family. It costs only a few bucks to park for the day unless you go in the fall when it's free. If you're a trout fisherman it's an excellent place to go. Plenty of good spots that you don't have to access with waders (although I do anyway). Take your kids there to teach then how to fish from the banks. They'll love it.

If you are looking for a modern day wine bar with AC and cushy leather seating for you and your yuppy friends don't bother. BUT if you want excellent wine and a winemaker who is knowledgeable about his craft, confident of his product and willing to share what he knows seek this winery out. Heinrich sadly is a dying breed. Experience while you can.

Fell in love with the Velvet Red wine and throughout the years I've added more selections onto my favorite list. This love affair began almost 10 years ago when I discovered it on the shelf at Wal-Mart when our son was graduating from Basic Training. At that time, we were looking for a great local wine. Cases after cases were being shipped to our home in Michigan and now to Alabama! Thank you Kiri Eikermann in the Shipping Dept. for helping to make this possible! Our recent visit to this winery was a dream come true!!! They offer 6 free wine tastings and now I've come to add more favorites onto my list! Jacque in the Tasting Room was a sweetheart and very knowledgeable about the wines. Highly recommend a visit! Two visits to the winery and 9 cases coming to our home in 'Sweet Home Alabama'! See y'all on our next visit!

During covid they are doing a cute "patio" with e tasting, 9 wines from red to white with a glass included. You watch a short video on your phone describing the different wines. I enjoyed it very much. My husband had a cider which he liked and a brunch burger, which was quite messy but good.
