The Crocker Hill Store

Built in 1837 as the Registry of Deeds, The Crocker Hill Store, the creation of artist Steven Smith and his wife Gail, is an oasis for those with a passion for gardening, birding and art. The shop features Steven's Birds of Crocker Hill print series inspired by the wild birds that visit his garden. Steven's copper vine lamps drape over pine cupboards filled with Gail's potpourri, British gardening tools, quality chocolate by Rogers, dried herbs and imported soaps - all products that the Smiths love. Nellie and Abigail, the English Setters greet visitors as well as oversee the pet section located in the building's vault.

I stopped here with friends and we were all enthralled with their products. They had excellent quality gardening supplies, lots of dog-related products and beautiful art work. I ended up buying my summer's supply of cards here. They were prints of artwork from one of the owner’s. We felt no pressure to buy anything and enjoyed the stop, and our visit with the owner.
