Kerameion Georgios Dalamvelas

If you visit Margarites, known for its pottery and ceramics traditions, this shop is a must-see. It's refreshingly modern and the souvenirs are not the usual kitsch you find elsewhere on Crete. Granted, most pottery shops in Margarites offer superb quality, but this one adds a dash of originality and surprise in the mix. You will always find a little something to bring back home with you. :)

Maxis Traditional cafe and Handmade Ceramic Shop

Reviewed By Jon-in-Brighton

Such a great find, almost totally hidden on the side of the hill in Gerani village. Through the pottery shop is a veranda where you can sit and enjoy home cooked mezes while the olive grove beyond wafts Cretan countryside aromas toward you. The food and drink is served by the charming husband and wife team who have recently refurbished the old mansion grounds. Highly recommend this place as extremely good value.
