Ayalon Institute's fascinating story is about a top secret operation which occurred between the end of the Second World War and Israel's independence (1945-1948). On Kibbutzim Hill, north of the city of Rehovot, under the vigilant eyes of the British who ruled the area, a clandestine bullet factory was built underground. The plant was code named " The Ayalon Institute" by members of the Haganah. The building and operation of the "Institute" was a co-operative effort by members of "Hatzofim Aleph" (a pioneer group) and people from the local Jewish clandestine military, who moved to Kibbutzim Hill.. Two shafts leading to the underground plant were disguised under a laundry room and a bakery. After the establishment of the State of Israel, the bullet making machines were moved to a centralized factory. Members of Hatzofim Aleph left Kibbutzim Hill and founded Kibbutz Ma'agan Micha'el in 1949.
Got a GETT taxi from Tel Aviv (116.00nis) to go to Ayalon Institute. We had missed this site when we were last in Israel in July. Everyone said it was a highlight of Tel Aviv and so worth the time to get there. You must nook a tour in advance esp if you need it in English. My hotel called for me a got me on a tour. I arrived 7 mins late and was walked over to where the group was watching an introduction movie. Our guide Sagi was wonderful at explaining everything.
It was truly amazing what these very brave and very smart young people did to assist in the war effort. I am so glad I was able to get out to this historical kibbutz and learn their history as well as my own.
There is a metal circular stairway which is very narrow so please be aware of you can not climb up or down stairs. This is underground so there are no windows if you think you might get claustrophobic. If your tour group is full the space will be tight.
Make sure to have a reservation. It was 24nis for an adult

Funtom experience creates unique activities for groups that develop and improve group dynamics. We put a strong emphasis on conducting activities that implement postive values and messages. Whether you want to experience Krav Maga in our IDF boot camp, go off-roading in the Negev desert or just want to relax in the Dead Sea, we have it all!
I don’t usually ever book trips through travel companies, however I decided to use Funtom to help plan a daily activity which was Tomcars.. First off, the activity was planned so well and I had the most amazing time. Everyone there spoke English so it wasn’t hard to communicate and overall it was such a positive and fun experience I will definitely be using Funtom again to plan future services!!

Our family of four (two parents and our 21- and 23-year old sons) spent four days with Gary in January, 2016. His knowledge of Israel, the history, the sites, and the geo-political landscape are phenomenal. Gary traveled with us in the Galilee region, the Golan, Safed and Masada (including a float in the Dead Sea). We toured religious sites, archaeological sites, towns and areas of military significance. Gary is smart, funny, personable, flexible and a fantastic resource for experiencing this beautiful and complicated region.
We enthusiastically recommend Gary!! We are hoping to return to Israel and visit other sites, and we would absolutely ask Gary to guide us again. Because he is originally from the US (he moved to Israel as a young man), he related well to us as Americans and there was no language issue. We felt safe with him and highly confident in his knowledge and expertise. A bonus was that he is fun to be around! My sons ended up calling him "Uncle Gary" and we extended an invitation to him to visit us back in the US.
Do not hesitate if you are looking for a great private guide in Israel. Ask for Gary!!

Dafna was the perfect tour guide! She was a delight to spend time with, knowledgable, friendly, prepared, and interesting. She made Israel come to life - its people, it's past, it's future, it''s problems, it's solutions, it's religions, it's warts and it's successes. She was...MoreThank you so much Sue and Larie for the warm words!! It was so special to see you experience Israel for the first time as the grandparents! Sending lots of love! Dafna

Kids will love the place as it is simply a huge playground to suit almost all ages. In addition there is also different Hebrew games kids can play which makes this park somewhat unique. During weekends the place is packed, yet kids will still enjoy it.

The house was built by famous architect Erick Mendelson in the 30 of the 20-century. In this house were living first President of Israel Haim Weizmann and his wife Vera and in the house are many objects connected with their life and the birth of the state of Israel.Near by in the garden there are the graves of Haim and Vera Weizmann.

Just a few minutes walk from the center of town with the potential relying many interesting stories of the building's history and multiple uses over the ages-yet if you didn't look it up in advance you would never know it as there are absolutely no signs or literature available at the location to describe what has occurred at the spot and why it is important

Tower tag is an PVP multiplayer experience in VR, inspired by Laser Tag! - play with your friends - two groups! Fire VS Ice - for best experience it is recommended from ages of 10+ - the venue is ready for all kinds of events - birthdays, company events and ect
We came here about 10 friends from work. We were truly blown away. The staff is
professional and helpful, though, to be honest, the game itself is super intuitive and easy to learn. It just engulfs you completely in a manner of minutes.
The flow is as smooth as anything I've ever seen, and the game is an amazing combination of simple yet interesting. There's plenty of room for team strategy and group play, and at the end you even work out (lying on the floor and all).
Great great great experience. Do not think twice, grab your friends and colleagues and head on down.
I know we will be back here...
