Rajasthan (/ˈrɑːdʒəstæn/ Hindustani pronunciation: [raːdʒəsˈt̪ʰaːn] ( listen); literally, "Land of Kings") is India's largest state by area (342,239 square kilometres (132,139 sq mi) or 10.4% of India's total area). It is located on the north western side of the India, where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert (also known as the "Rajasthan Desert" and "Great Indian Desert") and shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west, along the Sutlej-Indus river valley. Elsewhere it is bordered by five other Indian states: Punjab to the north; Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast; Madhya Pradesh to the southeast; and Gujarat to the southwest.

I had the opportunity to have a tour with Kukki Jr. The tour was along with a traveling group that I was apart of. Kukki was great. Along the way to the cave paintings, Kukki showed us the different birds, flora and fauna of the area. When we got to the cave, I was so impressed and this for me was the highlight of India. I was excited to hear about Kukki Sr and Kukki Jr's story and was inspired. If you go, you will see how passionate they are and it was wonderful to learn of the discoveries they have encountered. I am not sure about the cost since this was prepaid part of the tour that I was on, however, I can tell you that if you happen to be in Bundi, take the time and money to have a tour with Kukki, you won't regret it. Would recommend to wear good walking shoes, bring hat, and long pants.

Our time at Elefantastic was amazing. From the driver who picked up up, to the delicious traditional lunch at the owner's mother's house, to feeding the elephant, painting her with local and safe paint, washing her, her washing us!, and walking with her around the grounds, it just couldn't get better. The staff were extremely nice and attentive, taking photos of us hen we wanted, and giving us some peace with the elephant when we wanted. Overall incredible experience with an organization that treats the elephants very well. Highly recommended!

Elephant joy was amazing! The service from the moment very nice people immediately came to help and explain all about the elephants which have been kept very well and all round and amazing experience thank you to Jamil and the team Jamil and the staff take care of the animals with love and they make you feel that same love. Really outstanding especially for kids. practical advice. if necessary they pick you up from hotel in Jaipur (included in this price). Overall you should definitely come here while in Jaipur! Avoid the elephants at the Amer Fort and do this instead. Total i loved my time in Jaipur at elephant joy and looking forward to be back. Highly recommended everyone to elephant joy!!!!

Come for a visit, come to volunteer for half a day, or volunteer every day! We want you to come to Animal Aid and join in the magic that is animal protection and care. Animal Aid is a happy place where animals are healing and loved. Tours are given frequently at the following scheduled times throughout the day: 10:30, 12:00, 2:30 and 3:30.

It was our first time in India and as an animal lover, I had been very disturbed by the plight of some of the animals we’d seen living on the streets. I felt like I needed to do something to help but was unsure what. By chance we got talking to a lovely Australian lady in Udaipur who was feeding the street dogs, she then told us about Animal Aid Unlimited and the rescue centre. We took a tuk-tuk up to the centre, which was a lovely 20 min drive through the countryside. The volunteer coordinator, Rachel, showed us around and was very clearly passionate about the work they do and answered loads of questions, not only about the animals but also about living in India. It was a privilege to be able to spend time with the animals in such a well organised and inspiring place. There is absolutely no hard sell which was refreshing. I bought a T-shirt whilst there and have also since set up a regular donation to help support their work. Hoping to return as a long term volunteer in the future. If you care about animals it is an absolute must.

Many of us heard of this birders paradise and many revisit year after other but most would arguably agree its definitely a paradise you would want to revisit time and again, also spend not a few hours but few days till you get your dream shots. No trip to Rajasthan is complete without a Desert Safari in the Thar Desert. You can choose to take the camel or a jeep. Although, a camel safari is always so much fun. Sunrise is the best time to witness while sitting on a camel. It is an amazing experience!! So much fun.

Raptor’s inn is a simple unassuming home stay located close to the sanctuary. Atul is a very committed bird guide who puts in tonnes of effort. Has a never give up attitude. A good judge of bird behaviour and how to position the gypsy to get good shots. Suggest that you be clear regarding your requirements and he does his best to take care of it all. The food at the inn is spectacular simple home food. We sure hogged away like there was no tomorrow. All in all a great experience. Nothing to fault. This is a simple homestay but comfortable, clean and high on the satisfaction quotient. Highly recommend.

Awesome trip friends. I have visited Alwar with my friend Ronish Baxter and went to this place. Wow feeling to tour this Zip line. You can see the beauty of nature and literally feel it. At time I got scared also but enjoyed a lot with the safety guard guidance.

I was on for Jag Mandir in Pichola and was thinking that wasen’t I impressed a little more last time when one of my local Freinds took me for a Formidable Experience of this place... But I was wrong! As the steamer goes on away from the banks of City Palace splitting the clean blue Pichola water You are suddenly in a different place on Earth!... Wonderful , Serene, Exquisite!... The Jag Mandir/ The view of Lake Palace/ The view of City Palace!... Wow!... A truely International Spot to Discover and one of the Best in India!...In winters go by the 5 PM Ferry and Comeback when It is somewhat dark!...Exceptional!
